Oliveira was a 9 loss journeyman....right? And he was 36 years old? End of career? Yet, you guys are (true to the Hattonian principles) hyping up the performance.

You guys criticize mayweather for fighting gatti... but hype up Hatton beating Oliveira. Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable.

    SQUEAL... PLEASE NOTE.
Oliviera was a good performance in which Hatton did what he was supposed to do. It was Ray's first stoppage loss but beyond that it's not much to write home about on a world stage. Domestically it's worthy of note.

The trouble is that most top fighters in the US will spend from about their fifteenth to about their twenty third pro fight taking on people of the calibre of Oliviera. In Hatton's case this was spread into another fifteen fights thanks to his involvement with one F Warren... Since losing Warren Hatton's opponents have improved.

I could see this coming a mile away. We're not being as hypocritical as it might first appear, Dios. Was Oliviera first class? Probably not. Just saying he wasn't a pushover. I think that is exactly how he was described.

No you are in the right place. Some users know how to debate respectfully and others..............well others can't spell respect without using a dictionary.

It's hyperbole. And it's not my hyperbole! It's certainly not unique to Hatton fans though. I read that Mayweather destroyed Judah. Zab was soundly beaten, but it was cotto who destroyed him.

Yeah I dont know, I think Hatton went in the wrong direction with the Maussa, Collazo and Urango fights, but he ended up in the right place; a megafight with the p4p champion in Las Vegas.

If he wins, hes p4p #1 or 2 in my opinion, with megafights with Mosley or Cotto waiting to be made.

I thought Hobson was running his career into the ground after Tszyu.

But He proved me wrong. He landed the big one. Cant fault him for that.

Was what Hatton did to Oliveira any more impressive than what Mayweather did to Gatti? Or what Oscar did to Mayorga?

Last night, it was said that Tszyu , as a champion, should not fight a (four loss) fighter like Vince Phillips. But it was OK for a champion like Hatton to fight an Oliveira?

Oiveira, Vilches, Pederson, Stewart and Tackie. Really? That is what we boast about nowadays?

                Serenity now....

He fought young champions (well, titleholders... I make the distinction) since Tszyu and he fought Maussa who had previously starched a perennial top 140 lb fighter. And he fought Castillo who was showing a degree of wear and tear but the result was spectacular and picked by virtually noone!

He was WBU champ at that time. It was good for domestic level I guess. For World class, of course not. But even Hatton said that even winning his 1st title was out of his 'wildest dreams'.

You are a JWW. Who would you rather fight: Maussa or Baldomir?
