Hatton is 5"6, and had 2 weeks notice, Kerry Kays had to put on 7lbs of muscle on Rickys frame. Which made him slow and not very maneuverable. They thought that he needed to be at 147 to be effective against a BIG welterweight in Collazo.

When you are fixed on fighting a certain style in Juan Lazcano - 140lbs - orthodox. And at 2 weeks before fight night, the opponent pulls out then it has a BIG effect on a fighter.

Hatton had a tough night with Luis Collazo but in MY OPINION won 6-7 rounds plus the knock down.

Also Hatton beat Juan Urango with a chest infection, and beat him convincingly on all the scorecards.

Hatton also KNOCKED OUT Luis Castillo. Hatton WASN'T supposed to do that!

Hatton is so ruthless with his assault! Watch Ricky Hatton BATTER the hard man from Massachusetts. Also keep watching towards the end when Oliveira hits after the bell and Hatton looks like hes going to KILL HIM. When Ray wanted to touch gloves Hatton didn't and went to his corner!

        Pure RUTHLESS intimidation from Hatton!

At first he'll be dotting Hatton with good shots. Then, he'll be lowering his hands so his arms can protect his body. Then, his hands will be reaching out to try and tie Hatton up. Then, both palms will be on the canvas pushing himself up while he decides whether or not to take anymore punishment.

And Oliveira of course had never been stopped in his life. Hatton busted his eardrum so bad it was bleeding for weeks, as were his kidneys. Oliveira went into the Augustus fight as a man on his last legs after the beating Hatton gave him, he took the Augustus fight for money, (he's still partially deaf!).

Oliveira was a man who had broke CompuBox records for amount of punches thrown, yet could barely get off a punch against Hatton!

            Hatton is real.

Punching Hatton in the face, but we're talking about a truly world class body puncher. The power factor is going to be significant, and if Floyd's counters have enough on them to discourage Hatton from going to the body then he could be in trouble. So far however Hatton hasn't had too many issues over the course of a fight with right hands countering his left hook to the body.

to counter you need great balance. Kosta was devastating puncher when he had balance with distance.

Now with Mayweather he needs good balance to get his counters off and RUN like the wind. Hatton will nullify his balance with his pressure and the power will just tell the story after that.

Oh yeah. Just like Collazo and Urango. Thanks.

                      Two things:

                      1) Do you feel Floyd has a handspeed advantage?

                      2) Did you see post #18 in this thread as an example of what we talked about earlier?
