he should have thrown a stool at him, j/k but dogz he just robbed him of his streak.. that **** was foul yo true story he could have freed himself, the way he was positioned up until that very last punch was still stable, it wasn't like he was rocked out of his mind ya dig he was hit and reacted but before he could even mount an offense and regroup the ref stopped him, this stoppage should be revoked, this fight should be declared a NC due to the referre's insubordination and an immediate rematch should be declared, in those 15 seconds he lost everything he worked for yo some justice should be done for that, unfortunately justice is rare in Boxing when it comes to **** like this so now this guy's fire is extinguished and he's set back, a true shame because I like this guy Walker, I'm glad that prick didn't referee Cotto-Torres & Cotto-Corley.. 100

Wilson Stuns Travis Walker in 15-Seconds

I didn't think it was that bad of a stoppage personally, and for the record the two announcers disagreed on whether it was or wasn't. Walker did seem to be out on his feet, took about 3 clean shots to his lolling head while his hands were at his waist. The ref certainly could have let it go a couple more seconds but I think it would have been the same result.
Also, Walker willingly backed into the corner and a right hook to the chin is what dropped his hands and loosened his neck.

THAT is THE SINGLE WORST STOPPAGE i have ever seen and ill tell you why
Watch where the ref starts moving in. Its after the FIRST flush shot!!!!
THAT IS REDICULOUS.
He hardly looked stunned. I mean, he looked more surprised that he actually got hit then that he was hurt.
complete bull****. This should NOT count against Walker or his future in ANY way.

If I am not mistaken (and somebody correct me if I am) I believe California Boxing regulations state that a referee "Must stop any fight in which one combatant lands at a minimum of eight(8) consecutive and/or unanswered punches. The state commission can and will suspend the ref's pay, and chance to work future fights. Whether it was a bad stoppage or not, the ref did what he thought was right, and Walker must live with the decision.

I watched it a couple of times and it’s a tuff call; it sort of looked like the Corrales KO of Castillo but the ref I think called it one or two seconds too soon…
And another thing; a lot posters here are writing Travis Walker off b/c of this loss. Actually, this loss may have been a good thing for Walker and will probably prompt Walker to never get trapped like that again and to be on the offensive alittle more…
In any event, I hope there’s a rematch…
