why would smoger not stop pavlik taylor when pavlik was so hurt and he clearly was, and then make another good decision later on in the fight to stop it, then call this one off too early.... i wanna see it before i judge though.... just sounded out of character for smoger

Mainly because while Pavlik was stunned and stumbling around the ring, he was on his feet and moving trying to create distance for himself.

When Kelly had Jermain hurt, Jermain was in a corner and hands dropped after the uppercuts where he could not protect himself or even attempt to buy time.

Smoger didnt ref this one. someone was stating that Smoger is the prototype of what refs should be.

Right on the money... boxrec says it was stopped in 15 seconds exactly. Kudos and karma, for no ****ing reason.

it was a bad stoppage, i just saw the fight and i will upload when the ref stops it... Awful stoppage!!! He got robbed

Here it is, personally i think it was a bad stoppage, and even the announcers agreed it was a bad stoppage. And there is no audio in this file, sorry
I don't know what happened, i converted it with audio and the audio doesn't work don't know why. But anyways in the instant replays it sucks. Wilson only lands two punches and they stop the fight. And those two punches weren't even strong enough to drop Walker. And Wilson was going to get tired of throwing soon because he is a big man not in that great of shape with man *******. He looked tired as hell after the fight and he didn't throw that much, he is a big giant and would have gotten his ass beaten if the dumb ass ref didn't stop the fight. Surprised since I think this is the same ref who let jeff lacy get the **** kicked out of him for 12 whole rounds. And you ppl can talk **** about calzaghes power, but when ur hit that many ****ing times and calzaghes not as a light of a hitter as ppl like to claim. Ref did a good job giving us entertainment that night, this time this ref did a lousy job. And wilson cheated and wasn't even warned, the ****er tackled walker to the corner and then started throwing punches... This isn't ****ing football, tackling... what kind of **** is that... He is a 280 pound fat ass who cheats aswell.

Just viewed the vid., playback was a bit choppy.. think I just have to much **** running, but yeah, that was a pretty bad stoppage. I saw that tackle you were talking about, your right that was a foul. Reminded me of the way Bob Sapp fights (good call with the football reference.. Bob Sapp is a former NFL player and current K-1 fighter- I've heard he got busted by the NFL for steroids, though I never confirmed it). Ref definatly jumped the gun.
