And since then, PBF has fought many bigger/stronger guys. They were all supposed to rough him up. Remember? Gatti, Baldomir, Oscar. Same results.
This is all code for.....he learned he better run than duke it out with superior punchers. That's what Floyd learned. Now let's see how the public and the judges respond to that against Hatton. It won't go over well. This is why I'm picking Hatton in a decision.

Floyd took on one of the most limited 'champions' of all time in Baldomir. Everyone saw that exact fight coming. Everyone. Mayweather was even critisized at that point for taking on the lineal champ, which is insane if you think about it.

mosley was first in line for that date, then hatton was also in line for that date, both of them are documented for turning that fight down for their own reasons.

Oh...and for the debate about who's footwork is better.

IMO, it's Floyd. He has great footwork for both offense/defense. He's never off balance. Always on his toes so he can move in and out. We have seen him move forward and never square his feet. Give guys like Judah different angles. He's almost flawless...and this coming from a hatton ball licker.

But....I can say the same thing about Hatton except I haven't seen him move backwards. Ever. And he is alot more herky jerky with his movements and Floyd seems more sleek and does everything with a little bit more style.

Common misconception is that Hatton does not have great footwork. I figured most of the common folk would say this. People on here who have trained and studied the sport really know what's up. I wouldn't have to explain this to guys like kayjay and wmute.

Some of you really need to educate yourself about the sport.

            That's a dumb question.
Splitting the guard with a head requires two gloves to be close together to be split. Floyd doesn't do that when he is in his shell defense.

It was in response to whoever said that Ricky would use his head to split it, I wasn't saying that Floyd's defense is invincible.

Note... and I'll try not to sound as condescending as you just did.

I did not belittle Hatton's footwork. I was the FIRST to challenge the assertion that Hatton had better footwork than Floyd.

I merely said that in my opinion, Floyd's was better. Including laterally.

Any fighter who stands and "dukes it out" with a bigger puncher is fighting a losing gameplan.

So you're admitting that Hatton is the bigger puncher?

Him losing wont change that-Hatton losing will have very little to do with floyd's footwork, same with all of Floyds wins.
It would be interesting if we went three.

As a betting man, I'd gamble on myself. Not that I'm doubting your athletic abilities.

What I said is that any fighter who stands and trades with a bigger puncher is fighting a losing gameplan. Especially if that fighter is versatile and has options.

As any trainer will tell you, don't make an easy fight hard.
