I expect Floyd to take a decision or if Hatton can't succeed in anything he'll get stopped late. No way does this fight end before 5 rounds, and Hatton isn't going to destroy Floyd's ribs. Use your brains.

And I expect Hatton's eyes/skin to give out in tha last 1/4 of the fight.

Here's the deal: how does Hatton get prepped for the speed that FMJ brings? I know that RH fans say that Ricky has fast feet. OK fine. But surely, you can't think that he has the lateral footwork that Floyd has. The changes of direction.

Oscar sparred with Shane for weeks. And he commented to Merchant immediately after how fast Floyd was. You just can't prep for that.

And Floyd has two speeds of fast. There's his "regular fast" that Baldo and Oscar got. And there's his "otherworldly fast" that Sharmba/Zab/Gatti got.

The speed and movement will trouble Hatton. And I just don't think that the occasional heavy shot from Ricky will deter PBF.

        Heres the deal:
How does Floyd compare with the body punching and dirty tactics of Hatton. I know FMJ fans say that Floyd is a great inside fighter. Fine. But serely, you cant think that he has the body punching that Ricky has. The different array of shots.

Ricky sparred with Forbes for weeks. And he commented right away how he blew out Castillo much easier then Floyd.

The body punching and clinching will trouble Mayweather. And I dont think the speed is the hugest factor.

Especially the heavy shot from a 140 pounder.

            .
Castillo looked GREAT vs. hatton. JLC was a monster that night.

Everytime a Hatton fan says this, it makes me feel more and more confident about the fight.

If they are relying on a six year old fight (where JLC was 147 and Floyd was 136)... then Dec 8th is a Mayweather whitewash. Er, pinkwash.

Teca,,, how'd the Ali fights vs Frazier and Norton go? How about the Foreman fights with Frazier/Norton?

I'm not familiar about Ali's fights. I've only been watching boxing for a few months.

Of course you can think that, the midget hatton would be a 10 loss fighter if he didnt have unbelievable footwork.

Oscar exposed Mayweather's inability to keep off the ropes, the guy CAN be pressured into the ropes which shows lack of lateral movement, the reason why mayweather is so successful is his unmatched philly shell on the ropes and his reach/speed in the middle of the ring.

Good footwork, of course, but Hatton's is great and it is the sole reason for his success.

Thats a bit of silly analogy Oscar had 14 lbs and was a monster size wise ,, but he didnt pin Floyd on the ropes Floyd was happy to be there , Hatton dont have great footwork , he squares them up and if does that with Floyd he will do more than what Collazo made him pay for being square on ,, Ricky is quick in a different way than Floyd , Floyd is silky smooth where Hatton is jittery , but Hatton dont have good footwork in the true sense , how can he he crosses them and is square on .

You're right he does square up a little bit. but when he gets you on the ropes he changes the angle which not alot of good pressure fighters do today. and he uses his head to split your guard and then hits you.

I can see what your saying , but I dont think he can do it to Floyd with the speed Floyd has , Ricky smothers himself after he steps in and can get real messy , I think people underestimate how strong Floyd is , they think he is weak because of his style , word over the years from his sparing partners is he is very strong with some of them being middleweights , he surprised me with his strength with Oscar , Floyd will appreciate the much smaller opponent this time around .
