He's got to fight the mandatory first, most likely, but Chagaev should have more time and can make a unification right away.

Don't be surprised if Chagaev-Klitschko gets made. Then MAYBE Ibragimov-Klitschko, then against Chambers/Povetkin for three belts. That would make Wlad the king of boxing in 2008

Well, last couple of years Wlad fought 3 times a year, which is more then most champs in all of devisions.

....I will be convinced that Chagaev is healthy when a fight is announced and he goes into training. There were a ton of rumors flying around about his health when the Ibragimov/Chagaev unification fight went away.

IMO, if Wlad fought that ‘third’ fight per year; he could theoretically ‘clean out’ the division while creating a legacy for himself…

            YOu mean this year?

Well, what can you do, everyone was busy and HBO did not want to give the money for third fight.

Team Chagaev announced that he was back in training last month. Chagaev got a mouthful from Ibragimov because of that.

Yeah, he could've easily fought three times this year. But, I'm hoping that he does next year..

Naw man, you've made that three fights a year point numerous times. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the HBO out of money fact. He would've done a fight in December or November who wouldn't after that beat down on Brewster. Wasn't much of a fight, he probably got more out of his sparring partners then Brewster.

Yeah, I get the HBO thing; the problem is, that Klitschko’s last two opponents have been so dismal, that his fights have not been too entertaining to the regular boxing fan. Hopefully in 2008, Klitschko’s opponents are such, that his fights are more entertaining to regular boxing fans ( Kball) which would prompt HBO to budget for three, instead of two, fights….

BG did you leave your memeory at home today??

Wlad fought three times in an eight-month span, two mandatories and an undefeated challenger, and has tried to get a unification on top. Wlad has been the busiest champ in boxing.
