Not much point but still more than fighting a glorified journeyman like Baldomir.

      A glorified-fighter-of-the-year-undiputed-welterweight-champion-upest-of-the-year-already-defended-it-once-beat-Judah-Gatti-Clottey-gave-Vernon-Forrest-the-toughest-fight-of-his-life Baldomir.

      And Carlos still got dominated.

Nope. It would have been over too quickly to look as good. Tszyu had too much power in his right hand... it would have been an impressive first round KO, but it wouldn't have been a thorough outclassing/destruction over a few rounds.

The only time I have seen the comparison of Hatton to Tszyu has not been based on anything other than their prediction of Mayweather dominating Hatton (not nearly as badly) sort of like he did to Gatti.

Ricky is a lot smaller than the last two opponents Floyd has fought, and it is not conceivable that Floyd can take Ricky's best shots. If he stood toe-to-toe and Hatton couldn't hurt him, it actually would probably look lot like the Gatti fight.

        That's a big IF though.

I still don't get people's beef with the Baldomir fight. I mean, yes, Baldomir was not the best fighter at 147. Period.

He did have the WBC and Ring belts for that division. Why the **** not beat a guy with the legitimate titles if it's an easy fight?

Floyd is "The Man" at 147 right now because he beat that "glorified journeyman" in Baldomir. What a ****** decision to fight him, right?

Yes. He didn't get hit on the inside almost at all by Gatti.

Floyd is still very elusive, but usually doesn't stay on the inside, because there is a better chance that he will be hit.

If he can take Hatton's shots, he might stay on the inside (he probably will, he needs to get his name back out there as exciting).

What's so hard to believe about that?

If Baldomir was "glorified", it was because he "glorified" himself via his in-ring performances.

Baldomir is perhaps the most limited fighter I have seen hold a major title in recent years.

                      It's true.

Does anyone really think that Baldomir was a huge hypejob? Who the **** hyped him?

That win over Judah was incredible, because that was the first time anyone had seen Judah melt down.

Everyone should have had all your hindsight at the time though. Shame on Floyd for not seeing through all that.
