    c) The Ali thing was clearly Hyperbole to illustrate a point. Hyperbole is not "a comparison". Do you understand literary license? Here's another point: Terrible Terry Norris dominated an aging SRL. Would that have ever happened in ray's prime? Seriously?
I have read numerous reports suggesting Castillo suffered broken ribs and I am quite sure that Hatton has made this assertion though I stand to be corrected if you know otherwise.

Let's not rewrite history here, a sizable amount of people thought Castillo would beat Hatton, many of them on this website and these are, for the most part, the same people who now say that Castillo was shot.

Hyperbole to illustrate a point is all well and good but when the point is to demean a popular fighter then surely you cannot expect it to go unchallenged. The comparison of Leonard and Norris is certainly more pertinent than of you and Muhammad Ali but there are still vast differences between the two situations which make them unfair on Hatton.

It was a great liver shot.
Unbelivable shot, It will be a testemant to Floyds heart and conditioning to see how he handles punches like that.

If Hatton can effectivly work on the inside against FLoyd like he did against JLC, Floyd will be in for a long night.

Castillo did not have broken ribs. That is a bad rumour.

And, yes. Some people DID pick Castillo to beat Hatton. Just like some people picked Gatti to beat Floyd.

But we have the benefit of hindsight now. We already knew that Castillo looked like **** vs Ngoudjo and Reyes. It was attributed to him fighting down to his competition. But as soon as he gets in the ring vs. Hatton and starts falling off balance, we all knew that he was done.

Steward said that JLC was shot a minute into the fight. And at the end of the fight, lampley said (a quote) : Ricky Hatton won't get much credit for this win because of how bad Jose Luis Castillo looked.

Kellerman: Not the same guy who fought Diego Corrales.
Lampley: The way castillo sat this one out...shocking.
Steward: I was very surprised when I saw the first ten seconds how bad he looked

But don't believe me... listen for yourself:

I guess the same way that Jermain Taylor did against 10x better competition than Hatton.

Combined with the way Damgaard went 38-0.

            Maybe.

I'm still aghast that someone, even Floyd fans, would compare Hatton to Gatti.

What was the quote that followed this one you have selectively included?

Steward said that he did a good job and that it was a good body shot.

But what is the point of that? He did a good job against a shot fighter?

The announcers commended Hatton for his preformance but claimed that Castillo was shot and Hatton would get little credit for his victory.

That is true, Tszyu-Gatti would probably been as bad as Mayweather-Gatti.
