First fight I saw was his victory over Irwin in his goodbye type fight. When I saw his non-stop pressure than I knew he'd make some noise. His win over Cotto is what put him up big though.

Swarmers need to be able to punch, but he cant. He reminds me of Joe Frazier a bit with his style, but he cant punch.
That's only true if you have a chin problem. He doesn't. He throws QUICK inside combos, with enough snap to get respect. He'll do just fine. To me, personally, anyway.

He has got some power, not devastating nor 1 punch but he has snap,he throws so many punches and is so strong that he wears u down until u dont wanna continue, theres nothing u can do to stop him,hes gota great chin,he walked thru Freitas's punches easily and rocked him many times

The bout pretty much as I predicted. Julio packed it in after 4 rounds.

I think Juan is a decent puncher. the reason why he does not look like he can punch is because he focus more on combinations and scoring more points than his opponents. I think if he really started to crank up those shots and throw them harder, he will show alot of power.

Then, I don't see anyone that is willing to, nor has the power to go into the trenches and punch nonstop like Diaz, to make him slow down.

Juan keeps improving more and more. and he doesnt seem to really hurt people often, but his punches must wear people down horribly. Hes made both Freitas and Juilo Diaz quit. and theyre pretty tough guys, people look at the Corrales fight for Freitas, but he showed tons of heart against Barrios, didnt he?
and Julio has never show mental weakness.

what impressed me the most is his defense. it looked fantastic. anyone know the punchstats on this fight?
Juan just keeps impressing me with how much he improves, its just so drastic of a change in every fight! he used to just wear people down with his speed and volume of punches on the inside, but now you can actually see his improvement in each fight when it comes to skilled infighting.

plus his style is naturally one of the most exciting in boxing! the only problem is that he keeps making his fights stop very suddenly and undramatically, he always makes people quit or someone else calls the fight for them, I cant remember one single time his opponent has been counted out, haha...
