Anyone that says they cut 15lb every week is a flat out liar. Despite what some people might claim, 15lb is a HUGE amount of weight to dehydrate yourself by.

I am all for same day weigh-ins, but people will still try and cut ridiculous amounts of weight, leading to some severely dehydrated fighters entering the ring.

I think they should implement multiple random weighins before a fight, with a certain amount of weight you are allowed to stray between weighins.
Ive done this easily.Maybe you cant do it,but it doesnt mean others cant.

That's damn near impossible unless all you do is eat greens. Is that what you did?

I stand by what I said (check page 3 of this thread), weight cutting is an absolutly natural part of this sport. I can see why it seems ****ty to some people, but its going nowhere. Those who do not have experience cutting weight are in NO POSITION to say if its right or wrong, simple fact.

As for the having 2 weigh ins, that is unrealistic.. that would require 2 seperate OFFICIAL weigh-ins and would defeat the entire purpose of having weigh-ins the day before.

I've cut ten (not 15) pounds and I hated it. It goes against your instincts and lifelong habits to not head directly to the water fountain after a hard workout.

            Especially if you ran outside.

No,its called exercise out what you ate,and eat less, but dont eat not healthy. Ive cut 10 pounds in 3 days once, and was healthy. Its not hard when you know what you're doing, and have a great metabolism. Dont think nothing is impossible just because you cant do it.

With good metabolism, all things are possible...

I've dropped 5 pounds in one day, just from running like 3 miles.

135-130, and I ate big that day, and drank a lot... my metabolism just lets me do whatever (except gain weight).

I would expect that it is tougher to do, the older you get.

I drop on average of 4 pounds when running 3 miles, and if I drink afterwards I only gain 2 pounds back.

no complaints with the weight classes besides the fact that there are way too many of them.
