I hope your not trying to imply some metaphor on the basis of Mayweather's braveness in the ring, there are 2 very different fighters and quite possibly shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence. Floyd Mayweather is considered a coward by the way he's so willingly able to take a fight with a smaller easier Hatton because of a few little words tossed here and there than a stronger faster more challenging Mosley who I may even recall went as far as questioning his securities as a man in various interviews held.

    Peace!

Considering Hatton would outhweigh Mayweather anyway by fight night,

considering Mosley is 36 and did not win a real title fight in ages,

considering Hatton is the man at 140 and Mayweather started his career at 130.

considering finally that Hatton brings a different order of magnitude of $$$

you might as well shut up.

Now that PBF used more movement(because truth be told he never ran) than he usually does in his last two fights he is nothing but a runner and thats all he ever has been is what you people claim.
Since when do two fights define your whole career and your fight style?

remember the "tooth excuse" from Shane. Floyd wanted to fight Shane before he fought De la Hoya. Please get your facts straight.

I can also understand the point of this thread.

At this point, I think it is safe to say: No fighter is a coward to step in the ring.

Only those, who chose to stay sprawled on the canvass from some phantom punch, thrown from the Himalayas, and which never had a chance in a lifetime of skinning a fly, can be called scaredy cats.

The Will 'O The Wisp was certainly all time greatness material. Smart fighter, if you ask me.

And the majority of the boxing consensus today agrees that Floyd is P4P one of the greatest to ever lace the gloves up.

The most plain and simple fact is that any fighter is allowed to box when he choses to and is also allowed to brawl whenever he choses as well, to many of the boxing fans' discontent.

And to try to please every fan's taste of fighting style is futile, to say the least.

But again, everyone knows this is pretty much obvious, right?

i only respect fighters who try to give the fans excitement. watching this coward run for 15 rounds or whatever it was back then is not the reason i watch boxing. no one like sthese boring fighters its a fact.

there are many boring fighters today like mayweather spinks dirrell and they get no respect from the true fans. people only like mayweather because some idiots think he is p4p.

willie pep wasnt a runner he was just a really slick and evasive fighter and in my mind one of the all time best if you can win and not get hit then why not do it? it extends the lenght of your career and prevent permant damage

To compare Floyd with Pep is sacriligous, imo. Pep could mix it if he had to (case in point, his fights with Saddler) and made his opponents miss by standing in front of them, similar to Whitaker. I like Floyd, his is arguably the best 'boxer' today; but Pep is an all time great and Floyd has a loooooong way to go to get there. This guy Dios just likes to make outrageous comments to get a rise out of folks. To ask if Pep was a coward because he fought defensively to try and make a case for Floyd is idiotic.
I posted both a video and a fight report that showed that Pep tried NOT to mix it up with Saddler.

Well, if that is so idiotic, then tell me on the basis of what that many people on here say "Floyd is a coward".

Phantasm, I can assure you that you are not operating on some otherworldly intelligence. I'm willing to hazard a bet that you don't have much better academic credentials. Sorry.
