The Difference between MORALES & BARRERA

Its pathetic, but the thought of someone actually trying to avoid punches is hard for some people to fathom. These fools use the same sad excuse when it comes to Mayweather. Yeah criticize a guy because he doesn't want to get hit in the face.man, some of you sound as ****** as Larry Merchant. I know in all of your eyes MAB had no chance and should have just swung for the fences and gotten KO'd by Pacman but guess what......he was actually trying to win.
The biggest criticism of him in his first fight was that he brawled too much with Pac and that he allowed himself to be taken out of his game plan. This time it was about 4 years too late for him because his reflexes just didn't allow him to win this fight.
Barerra didn't go out with a wimper he just tryed to fight intelligently and take the approach that gave him the best chance to win. I know you amature fight fans just want to see a KO but a fighter actually goes in there to win, not just give you a highlight.
Every time he tryed to **** with Pac, he was just getting beat to the punch and would have eventually gotten KO'd. He fought smart with his head but his body just couldn't do what it had done so many times in the past.Comment

Idiot.
Use some brains will ya.
Fake Floyd doesn't get hit because.
1. His opponents are way sub-par and handpicks them.
2. He throws very few punches and hugs like John Ruiz.
You really are dumb are you.
A while ago I made you read a quote from MAB. Seems your brain quickly forgets. Here it is. I typed it in caps so you won't have any problems reading.
"I'm very happy I didn't get knocked out by Pac".
Boxing and running are different things dude. When will the likes of you ever learn.
Boxing is when you fight avoiding the shots but AT THE SAME TIME YOU THROW EFFECTIVE PUNCHES.
Don't forget the term... EFFECTIVE PUNCHES.... I hope you read this well. It's in all caps you know.
Running is when you imitate ala Fake Floyd running like a chicken THE WHOLE FIGHT. THROWS VERY FEW PUNCHES AND NONE OF THEM EFFECTIVE AND YOU DON'T HAVE ANY INTENTION OF ATTACKING OR PUTTING TOGETHER PUNCHES TO BEAT YOUR OPPONENT. YOU JUST RUN FOR RUNNING'S SAKE.
Now dude. I typed it mostly in caps so idiots like you will learn from now on.
Or if you still don't understand that. Then I'm sorry.
You are now officialy.... BEYOND IDIOTIC.
If such a term could exist.Comment

in fairness to MAB, he did have brief exchanges w/ PAC throughout the fight and actually i think he landed the cleaner shots on some of it. thing is, he can't sustain it and drops back, does the jab, which mostly missed or countered by pac.Comment

First of all, people who just want to insult are using insults as a substitute for there lack of knowledge and understanding of what transpired in this fight. Barerra never ran, that's just plain nonsense. Barerra's problem the first time around was that he chose to brawl with Pacman and got stopped because of it. When Marquez fought Pacman and dominated him from the 3rd round on, he boxed, the same with Morales in their second fight.
Any "idiot" could look at the fight tapes and see that the blue print for beating Pac is there, you just have to have a profficient enough guy in able to do it. Barerra had the right game plan going in but Pac was just too young and too fast for Barerra. All those wars have finally caught up with him and he just couldn't beat a younger faster fighter in his prime.
Barerra could have come out and just stood toe 2 toe with Pac and gotten KO'd or taken a beating but that would have been ******. Barerra is not a ****** fighter OR person. As a matter of fact, he dropped out of law school to become a fighter because he loved the sport so much.
People just want to see KO's and I understand that but to the avid fight fan like myself, I knew Barerra would not come out and brawl with Pac, it just would not have made sense.Comment

Everything he said. The only thing I'd like to add is that coming from a big Barrera fan, I'm glad he decided to box and stay away. I'm disappointed that he didn't do enough to win which he may have been able to do if he let his hands go, but at the same time I feel relieved.Barrera looked like he was in there for a paycheck. I mean he was fighting good at times.. Sort of like in spurts and what not. He did what he had to do. You can't blame him for boxing. Also saying you're gonna retire before a fight is self explanatory. He gave us a good career and a great trilogy with Morales.
Both Morales and Barerra are great fighters. Morales is the warrior out of the two. Barrera just went from warrior to boxer. It happens.
He's already had a brain operation and has been in 3 fights with Morales that have taken a serious toll on him, I'd rather him go out on a stinker without being hurt than risk his longterm health just to satisfy me. He's satisfied me enough over the years, I'd rather have him be able to take care of his family now.Comment
