31 is considered just entering your prime as a Heavy weight..
And really if you look at both their resume's Wlad has been fighter Higher quality for much longer than Lennox Did.. He has more fights by age 31 than Lennox in his whole Pro Career.. AND he is just entering his prime.. The only Thing Lennox has that Wlad doesn't is Unification.. and hopefully that will happen soon enough..

I agree. I do think Klitschko is the much better fighter at this point but I have a lot of respect for any boxer who not only pulls himself up off the mat after being knocked down three times but also goes on to convincingly win that fight.

He probably is better then all of these bums. But when I hear comparisons to Lennox Lewis, I cringe. HBO has had a habit of throwing certain fighters to the wolves and protecting their name brand fighters. Sound familiar?

This is type of mess really angers me. Most boxing fans would rather see Sam Peters get a rematch with Klitschko rather than Chris Byrd or an inactive/out of shape Lamon Brewster.

Wlad was crushed by Saunders. He showed huge heart by getting up but also showed an extremely weak chin and terrible recooperative powers. He came out for that second round with terribly shakey legs and was again floored instantly.

I wonder why Wlad is not ready to fight a motivated Sam Peters who deserves a shot after twice beating Toney? Why do you think that is? That would be a real fight to see what Klit has. Beating the Brewester that did not show up at all proves only that Brewster took the fight for a payday only.

LOL. Nice logic. Your point being that Klit is going to get better in his 30's than he was in his late 20's? How's that gonna happen, a chin transplant? This is one fighter who is literally one punch away from losing any fight. He has a glass jaw.

Are you trying to say Klit is better than Lennox ever was? Either way you are incorrect. He's not even in the same playing field as Lennox Lewis, or close to being a great fighter.

people love to bring up the sanders fight,,,but that was back when wlad was a one dimensional seek and destroy guy. he relied on nothing but his power. he's turned into a boxer/puncher with much more movement. that sanders against todays wlad would likely get out boxed and taken out badly. he's a much improved fighter and even lewis himself is very impressed by him and wlad does have as much talent. whether his career ends up as good as lewis's is another question and remains to be seen. lewis has obviously beaten the better opposition

I can't believe that McCline was able to almost starch Peter...I could've sworn by Peter's titanium chin. Oh well, I guess even the Titanic could be sunk.

I have never laughed so hard while watching a fight as I did watching this one. Poor Mccline came in to collect a check, and then when he caught Peter with the first uppercut he thought "Wow! I might actually be able to do this!!!" so he totally spent his energey up in the third round while trying to knock Peter out. He had him out, dropped him 3 times total in the fight, but just couldnt get it done. So he was just trying to stand up the rest of the fight from exhaustion, and Peter still couldnt take him out or even hurt him. If Mccline was younger and actually in alright shape he could have won this fight easily, because every uppercut he landed buckled Peter's knees. I was a bit pissed at how wide the judges had the fight for Peter, they did make the right call yes, but I dont think Peter won every single round he didnt fall down in. Either way Peter did deserve the win, but anyone who thinks he is the top dog now, or wants to talk about how much he has improved, is a lost cause.
