Yep, read that Peter hit the deck three times. He claimed to have come into the fight with a broken left hand. I don't know anything else other than what was in *********.com. Wonder if this is true about his injury.
Peter Comes Off The Deck To Beat McCline

The first knockdown was a case of Peter being off balance. Mcline shoved him with his forearm and then threw the shot. Besides that, Peter dominated the entire round until the flash knockdown. That makes the round 10-9 in favor of Mcline instead of 10-8.
Mcline wins the third round 10-7.
Peter won every single round after the third round.

It really suprises me that McCline punches hard enough to put Peter down, i cant believe that. But to Peters credit he showed a great heart and big guts and came back good and was able to win the fight, although it was verry close and could have gone either way. It seems Peters chin was overrated. But i still see him as the future Nr.1 heavyweight.Comment

hey idiots listen up and listen good. i just got back from MSG, i was there ringside. i was there (despite what u will choose to believe) rooting for peter all the way. BUT, he lost. Mecline deserved the decision. if u guys think otherwise u simply can't judge a fight. i was there, i saw it, and i wanted peter to win, up till the final bell i was hopin he would land a huge punch to get the KO so he would keep his "title". what i forgot was that peter had Don King in his corner which means he won the fight regardless. u guys must of been lookin to give every close round to peter without question, which is iggnorant and shows plain favoritism and bias. peter did not win everyround from the knockdowns on, he would come in and throw two punches and smother himself. mecline won by a couple of rounds, deal with it. u can hide if u want and make pertend that peter won cause u like him but the fact is he lost, when he heard the decision he was suprised, u had to see how discouraged he was before the cards were announced. i actually saw it cause i was there. Like i said i wanted peter to win but he didn't and DON KING IS KILLIN BOXIN. in case anyone didn't know julia lederman was one of the judges, the same judge last week who somehow had taylor ahead on the cards, who even taylor said he thought he was losing.Comment

How is it overrated if he ate flush punches from Wladimir Klitschko and didn't go down? I've noticed that pro fighters tend to just respond differently at times.
All I know is......two things came into play in this fight.
1. That was obviously the best Mcline since the fight against Grant.
2. Peter had the layoff and supposed injury.
Mcline fought a tough fight, and he's no idiot. He did the same thing against Grant right after Lewis beat him. He blueprinted the knockout........ran across the ring in the first round and knocked Grant down with 1 punch and broke foot in the process when he fell really awkward.
Regardless Mcline followed Klitchko's blueprint on how to use the size advantage to make the fight competitive. Most of the time, Mcline spent jabbing on the outside (however ineffective it was) but eventually that set up the right hands and uppercuts.

He'd still knock Maskaev into next Tuesday.
