Thing to remember, Mayweather tends to throw close to 350-400 punchers per fight. If it goes the distance, that's around 30-35 puncher per round. For someone with GREAT accuracy and tremendous speed, who fights VERY defensively, that's not TOO shabby. Could be A LOT better, of course, but it's pretty good.
Hey, I liked Whitaker too, (thought he beat a prime Oscar), but likening Pea to Floyd is just not right. And you cant fault a guy who likes offense more than defense. 35 punches per round in the Baldo or DLH fight? Are you ****ing kidding me?

It wasn't a hard fight to score. People have a habit of giving slick fighters round they didn't win, simply for being slick.

No doubt about it, Floyd is better than Oscar, and Floyd was out boxing Oscar when he chose to, but he simply did not chose to fight. Oscar did chose to fight, and it won him most of the early rounds.

I am not biased against slick fighters, My favorite fighters list goes something like this.

      Nicolino Locche
      Ivan Calderon
      Wilfredo Benitez
      Hector Camacho Sr.
      Pernell Whitaker
      Winky Wright
      Willy Pep
      James Toney
      Archie Moore

I am a true fan of the sweet science. I don't derive much pleasure from watching brawls or slugfests, but I still scored the fight for Oscar, because I understand the essence of fighting.

Floyd may have showed exceptional skill, but he didn't show any control of the fight, which is how slick fighters win fights. Ring generalship. Laying back and blocking and slipping flurries is not ring generalship.

What Ivan Calderon did in his last fight was ring generalship. What Muhammad Ali did to George Foreman was ring generalship. What Pernell Whitaker did to Azumah Nelson was ring generalship.

What Floyd Mayweather did to Oscar de la Hoya was not ring generalship. It was being slick, and counting on a judges decision.

Another exaggeration. Jeebus, you Floyd fans are so full of chit.

Most of my posts are in the lounge and about the p4p king Manny Pacquiao.

This is a real fan of the sweet science, not some delusional Floyd fan claiming to be a fan of the sweet science.

Why can't anyone describe the fight? lol.

All they type is "Well I thought Oscar won". Over and Over. Or "Floyd is a slick fighter so that's why he (insert some other vague description) Oscar won.
