    Sad thing about Floyd...

At the end of the day, no one is going to respect him. Unless he really puts on a show against Ricky.

They are going to look at him like they did with Pernell Whitaker. A premier athlete. But a loud mouth, arrogant, and boring.

Only later in life is Pernell finally starting to get his props. I can guarantee Floyd will never get the reception that Pernell does today. Because Pernell actually had balls. If he would get knocked down...he would GET THE **** UP. If he was losing on the cards...he would knock the ****er out. It's that type of urgency that Floyd totally lost out of himself some 5 years ago.

It's a shame b/c he's the best pure ATHLETE that the sport of boxing has got. If only he matched his business sense wtih BALLS, then he would be popular as hell.

Jt took his beating like a man. Like a ****ing MAN. Not a fraud little BOY. And for that reason I will give JT respect.

You could very well be right if Floyd doesn't hurry up and show us he is a warrior.

Floyd hasn't been pushed to those limits though, when have we seen him in a fight in a desperate position? Never, so he hasn't had the chance to prove himself. Part of the criticism he draws is because he hasn't taken the fights people wanted when they wanted him to take them, even if he doesn't like the fights it is public opinion that marks a person's legacy. The hatton fight should have happened long ago (we all know the debate on who prevented it, that aside), he could have fought Tszyu, he could have fought Margarito (regardless of the result, that's what was being demanded and he refused), he has stated he wouldn't fight mosley because he is a sparring partner, and it seems unlikely he wants Cotto either. My point is I think he is very capable of beating all these fighters, now and at the time when the fights are being asked for, but he has been unwilling to take those chances and possibly prove people wrong handle some adversity.

He's also heavily criticized for not having the power to finish an opponent. I didn't say that, Arum and Roach did. I just happen to agree.

If he were fighting at junior welter, where he could easily fight, he could be knocking evryone out. But he moved up for the big fights HE wants where he really isnt cut out to knock anybody out. I don't see him stiopping anybody other than MAYBE hatton who is also truly a junior welter, all the true welters and above are too big to be stopped. If he fought the winner of Cotto Mosley after this fight (assuming he wins) I would be way more impressed with his career choices than I am now, even though I dont think he has a shot in hell at knocknig either guy out at 147 (good shot at winning though).

I probably agree Floyd is a true jr. welter, but to say he moved up for big fights, I don't necessarily agree at all. His biggest fight could have been with Tszyu at 140, but IMO he didn't want it. IMO he moved up to leave Tszyu behind. Now that Tszyu is gone, oh yes...I could see Floyd going back down and having some fun. But, he would have problems with Hatton at 140 too.

I don't feel bad for Floyd, he's a **** and does that himself.

If there's a reason why anyone would shove him under the history book......it's because he might be the biggest ******* in the history of major fighters. He talks like he has a chip on his shoulder, he randomly attacks other fighters, trainers and key figures in the sport.......and spends most of his time in a discussion bragging about how much money he has.

It's funny because the Floyd nuthuggers claim "everyone is jealous of how much money he has, and that's why they don't want to hear it."

It's always coming from a kid that works the window at a ****ing Mcdonalds.
