Mayweather is not even thinking about fighting Cotto, Mosley or Williams. He's too young to retire to be HOF, he plays it too safe to be in the HOF.

He already said that he'd fight Mosley and that he thinks Mosley is gonna knock Cotto out. Stop grasping at straw..

i think in my opinion mayweather needs a loss in his record to make him look better, a loss like taylor.....champions can be defeated but they would comeback show that they have balls with no fear......that's a champion so i think mayweather needs that in his career, if that happens hey I'll considered the guy a lil bit more

I don't see how you would let Gatti in the HOF, when he hasn't accomplished much.. other then fights of the year with mediocre opposition.

I mean I don't like Floyd but im not a biased hater who would deny him his right in the HOF when he retires.. Other people have gone in with much less accomplishments.

That's when you know you are a hater, when you saying ****** **** just like energy.

I'm pretty sure he said he will fight the winner of Cotto-Mosley (assuming he wins).

Well he must be because you guys keep saying his opponent is going to beat him , read the board how many say Hatton is going to tear him a new one ,, same thing with ODH , its been that way his whole career , so where does Hatton rate in your fight the best ? he cant fight everybody and no matter who he fought you guys would still hate on him , Im glad he is fighting Hatton because he will shut 90% of the board up when he out classes him .

The guy has won 5 WT in 5 different weight classes in the shortest time in history , you guys know nothing about weight and what it really means at this level of competition from middle down , and he is still fighting , the Floyd Mayweather show is still being built , why dont you guys wait untill he is finished before you bag him , or at least wait untill some of your predictions of him getting beat come true , a lot of people are gunna look ****** on Dec 9 .

It does when you look back at history and you have guys losing a fight then coming back hungrier, more determined and stronger.. that rubber match adds wonders to your record. exc. Ali.

This thread is ridiculous, how can you say Mayweather isn't eligible for Hall Of Fame status, do you not see how he boxes? is he not undefeated after taking on challenge after challenge? you guys hate on Baldomir all you want but he had a few days go his way and he was the recognized champion at the time, Floyd wanted the belt and thats who he had to beat.. which he did. give him his props yo this cat moved up from jr Lightweight and went all the way up to welterweight on skills alone, he went up to 154 and fought Oscar De La Hoya who grew into that division, he outboxes him completely and STILL gets no credit for it, he took ALL risks against a fighter of De La Hoya's calibur (despite how I feel about him), a 10 time world champion in his own right and Mayweather jumped FAR out of his own way to dethrone him, something people argue that Tito couldn't do and this is little ass Floyd Mayweather we talking about here! undefeated and no taller than 5'8?? beat an undefeated Chico?? 38-0, 24 KO's is not an easy record to build against these calibur fighters, Floyd is guaranteed a spot in the hall of fame and it would be wrong to give him otherwise..

**** all his so called easy wins because before ALL of those fights it was the same people here talking about how he would lose, he wont get past this guy or that guy and when he did he just got ****ted on, people want to re-evaluate the fighter AFTER he get's his ass beat then suddenly Floyd fought a nobody or a chump, people will always hate but to say Floyd isn't Hall Of Fame worthy is borderline insane, his skills alone and all them names on that record can bring him into Hall Of Fame status, especially if he beats Hatton, he can even lose to Hatton and he's still accomplished enough to be in the Hall Of Fame, this thread is ridiculous, all due respect but I STRONGLY disagree, if Gatti can be inducted because of heart then Mayweather could inducted by skill because his skill beat Gatti's heart.. 100
