Mayweather shouldn't be in the HOF.

The fight had 2.2 million PPV buys. That means that every home/outlet had at least five people watching and ALL FIVE swore off boxing.
Yeah... Right.
Sooo, who is buying Mayweather-Hatton in America??
Joepal, you are not fooling anyone. You are one of the least intelligent posters on this board.Comment

He defeated a bigger man the only way he could. He boxed. He wasn't on his toes dancing or running. He was right there to be hit.
Oscar said that he would make it a rough tough fight and didn't. Blame him.
Floyd did his thing promoting the event and he won. That's all there is to it.
Btw, Larry Merchant who always complaing about borring fights gave the fight a 8.5 out of 10.
Food for thought.Comment

Your an idiot. With the competition that's out there right now, Cotto, Mosley, Williams and retiring leaving more questions than answers how you expect yourself to be considered one of the greats, when all you do is play it safe, never been outside of the United States,(you call yourself a global fighter wtf?)(guys like Ali fought in Zaire for God's sake) never been out of your comfort zone, he still has a lot to prove. He shouldn't be in the HOF if he doesn't clear any potential threats out there. Mayweather is overrated to you so called "dedicated fans".
Mayweather would have been a hall of famer had he not ever left the 140 pound ranks let alone capture the WBC belt at 154.Comment

Some council paid him TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS (do you honestly know how much loot this is?) in the MOST PUBLICIZED FIGHT IN BOXING EVER. Is asking for a few more punches too much ask?Comment

Well, throwing X amount of punches wasn't in the job description. Hell, the only job description that night was to show up.
He went above and beyond by winning.
Should Hopkins be stripped of all his money too because of his low punch output?
Only Juan Diaz and Paul Williams should get paid according to your logic, which means:

No. After all was said and done, Floyd never rose to the occassion. And don't insult the fan's intelligence by saying that that was all Floyd could do to win the fight. He defeated a bigger man the only way he could. He boxed. He wasn't on his toes dancing or running. He was right there to be hit.
Oscar said that he would make it a rough tough fight and didn't. Blame him.

In boxing you pay and take your chances like everybody else. You want a guaranteed good show in the squared circle, I suggest you buy a WWE PPV and stop crying. Of course wrestling is fake and the outcome is predetermined so their only concern is to put on a good show and get the fans their money's worth.
Boxing is winning first and entertaining second. You take the good with the bad. You obviously care about mayweather and want to see him lose so you ordered the PPV........It didn't happen......Get over it......seriouslyComment

This is a sport where punches count right?Well, throwing X amount of punches wasn't in the job description. Hell, the only job description that night was to show up.
He went above and beyond by winning.

Only Juan Diaz and Paul Williams should get paid according to your logic, which means:
His job description, after getting all that money and attention, is to give a good fight. Only delusional fans like you would say that all you should ever do is show up. Many fighters have fought with more passion and heart for far lot less money.Comment
