What does that have to do with anything? Can we have a decent discussion without race being an issue. I'm just telling the truth. Whoever is in charge of selecting inductees will choose floyd because of that. By the way i thought it was very ignorant of you to make that statement.Comment

How can you say that mayweather had years to take on Tszyu (140lb champ) but didn't and continued to say he was the best welter (147)?It's not a lie. It's the sad truth. Mayweather had years to take on Tszyu. He didn't, but he continued to say he was the best welter that ever lived. Meanwhile Tszyu held the title at 140 for over a decade, is HOF at 140, and is considered one of the best 140s of modern times. Period. Is it just a coincidence to you that Oscar avoided Tszyu too? The bottom line is that Tszyu specialized in dismantling the slick, fast and flashy boxer. Kostya Tszyu was too dangerous to risk superstar status on. Too dangerous. And don't give me that Showtime/HBO excuse, it's crap.
It doesn't make sense. Before floyd moved up to 140, he fought the best at 135 in Castillo. Some peopleComment

Only have to say:
Mayweather 2004: "I'm the greatest WW of all time."
Tszyu 2004: Held the title. First man in 30 years to consolidate the belts at 140. The king at 140.
Result: No fight.
Tszyu didn't move up in weight. Floyd did. Floyd had years to fight Tszyu. He did the talk, but didn't do the walk. No excuses!
Again Floyd wasn't even a welterweight in 2004, Dumbass.
Did you just start watching boxing?Comment

Pepino Cuevas was in the HOF...enough said, pretty much. Mayweather deserved to be in the HOF before he even made the change to 147, imo. one of the best Super featherweights ever, beat the best at Lightweight at the time in his first fight at 135 with an injury and some more decent wins at 135, and went up to 140 to get a title over a guy that was rated the #2 at 140 the year before in Arturo Gatti (surprisingly).
I think his wins at 147 are fairly weak too though. 154 is fine, he beat the best 154lb fighter with his win over De La Hoya.
at the time that Floyd was at Welterweight Mosley was not there, Cotto was only just moving up, Williams was still a question mark, and Margarito was sadly still unnoticed except by the bigger fans.
but he definitely should fight them now.Comment

That statement is so true its sad. It applies to everything also not just boxing.I dont know why this poster is giving PBF **** for not being a ****er. Hes fought the best and keeps on doing it. When he beats Mosley, Hatton, and Cotto it'll be something else.
So what he doesnt have 1 punch KO power. Quit hating. From what I've been reading PBF is underrated. Give the dude a break. He doesnt dodge anyone.
Its always the same...when you the best theres always some ******* to say your not just so people will listen. This is the generation of haters. Tyson gets no respect but if you said that in the 80's you would get your face mashed. Peoples grandmothers followed Tyson. Gimme a ****ing break.Comment

^LOL! Wiley has got his chronology all wrong. Time (for him) to watch more boxing and stop spewing blind, emotionally-based rhetoric. His lack of knowledge on boxing chronology makes him look ****** with some of the comments he makes....Comment
