Hes all heart. But no skills or speed. Power and heart yes. But its only a matter of time until he loses the title. Another example of the Americans over rating their own fighters.
      like, r u ****in serious???

The fight happened a couple days ago, was a truly great fight, and there is a NEW middleweight champion...

Kessler-Calzaghe is over a MONTH away!

I hate idiots like this. First of all, you have no idea what u are talking about. Pavlik showed great defensive skills which somehow people STILL arent giving him credit for. He has a GREAT jab, GREAT power, GREAT chin, good speed...

I mean we are looking at one of the top 10 best fighters in the entire sport in Pavlik. And he is an all around fighter too. He can box and he can brawl with the absolute best of them.

And im not saying im not lookin forward to Calzaghe-Kesser, cause i am and its gonna be probably the best fight this year.

But its hard to get overly excited about a fight over a month away ESPECIALLY when we saw the emergence a major threat in the entire sport, and a star that could REALLY help boxing when it matters most

i didn't even bother reading . most americans don't watch boxing. most diehard fans have seen them on youtube or downloading fights . it's not are problem if we don't get to see them more, that's the fault of the promoters.

After the Holyfield fight and Diaz/Diaz on 10/13, there are no major fights until the 11/3 ones. Calzaghe and Kessler talk will pick up then...

yep, was about to say the same thing. We have three weeks in a row of significant fights, so obviously those will dominate the headlines. I don't disagree that every message board has been ridiculously littered with Pavlik-Taylor related threads, but it's only natural for the majority of fans to get excited about not just the first major fight they've seen in seven weeks, but such a damn good fight at that.

But yeah, come October 14 and beyond, the excuses run thinner if Calzaghe-Kessler convo doesn't pick up (and you can bet the house that B-Scene will cover the fight to the fullest, before, during and after).
