This should be happening as the norm.
Every other sport you regularly see the best vs the best.
Boxing it seems hasn't been playing that game.
Mayweather has plenty of options at 140-154.
Cotto , Margerito , Cintron ,Collazo ,Mosley ,ect etc etc....
Its no good telling us he can beat them all he needs to show us he can beat them all.
Is that really too much to ask?
Where would Boxing be if Ali had said "Ah **** it I could beat Goerge Foreman, Joe Frazier etc "without actually gifting us Fans of Boxing by doing it?
Same with Lennox Lewis he fought everyone in his division before hanging them up.
Why isn't that happening anymore?

They are all contenders.
Much better contenders than Henry Bruseles , Sharmba Mitchell , Arturo Gatti etc....
A champion is supposed to DEFEND against the top contenders.
That is the WHOLE POINT OF BOXING.
You may well be happy with Floyd hanging his gloves up after fighting for a title once but I am not.
Floyd has a lot to prove yet if he wants to be considered one of the best Welters in his lifetime let alone ever.
The trouble is his fans are happy for him to shortchange them by only fighting when it suits his pocket.
He has no real legacy at 140 ,147 or 154.
There are too many unanswered questions.

Back on subject, who is Floyd going to knock out?
No one. It's so sad, because if you watch his early fights Floyd is a hungry beast and a KO artist. Now he's just pretty all the time and running.
I don't know if Floyd will ever knockout another fighter again honestly.

Tarver - Old.
Winky - Old.
Calzaghe - Old and hasn't beaten anyone.
Kessler - Hasn't beaten anyone.
Dawson - Prospect, meaning, that whoever beats him won't get credit because he wasn't any good to begin with.
You see why it is frustrating to have people like you downgrade all these fighters' accomplishments? No one can ever win.

But he didn't.
I mean in their respective prime as well.
