God i hate bashing a guy with such great avatars, but...Moofo,
Here is what you can't simultaneously do:
You can't simultaneously denigrate Floyd's opposition while saying that hatton is a very good fighter because of his record.
No objective person with a modicum of boxing knowledge would dispute that Mayweather has the better resume.
So, you make yourself into a two-faced hypocrite when you criticize FMJ's resume and then say that Hatton is a very good fighter.
Corrales+Castillo+castillo+Genaro+ Judah+Chavez+ Manfredy+Delahoya+Corley+Judah+baldomir+famoso+goy o is greater than the resumes of BOTH Hatton and calzaghe combined.
True Story.
First off, the guy said SINCE Castillo. Why can't you get that Dios? Let's focus on just that for a moment. SINCE Castillo, Floyd really hasn't beat anyone of note! Of those with any quality at all he did beat-DLH,Judah, Floyd didn't look all that great. Facts Dios.
Now, you say "What about Hatton". My wife does the same **** everytime we agrue. It's called changing the subject to avoid the issue. What does Floyd's resume have to do with Hatton or Calzaghe? Floyd's resume was created by Floyd, period. He chose his opposition. The funny thing about resumes in boxing is they speak for themselves.
The truth is simple. Floyd has a weak resume, as does Hatton. The difference is, Floyd is heralded as the second comming and Hatton is not. If both resumes are weak, then how the hell can one warrant greatness and the other warrant a fraud?
Simple-It can't if you are objective.
Your stance should be that you BELIEVE Floyd to be superior, but there is now way to really tell until they meet. So to argue supremecy without actually having the fight first is purely speculation based on perception.
That said, Hatton will crush Mayweather come fight night!!!!

So are you happy to see top fighters fight ****ty opposition then? The only reason I think you should lower your standards is because you seem unwillingly to give anyone any credit in the sport. Floyd fights ****ty opponents. Bernard fought ****ty opponents. I can only imagine what you think of Roy Jones Jr.'s resume.
All prospects are unproven, but by the time they do get proven, then they are old.
I just think you are the ultimate cynic in the sport.
I think Floyd , Bernard , RJJ , Calzaghe etc are all good fighters but I think as fans we have been short changed by their unwillingness to fight each other on the basis of Money.
We all know how fighters argue over who gets the top dollar.
A ruling that gave the champ 60% and the challenger 40% would end all arguments.
And none title fights 50/50 would end all **** match ups I guarentee it.
I give credit where credit is due.
But I can't buy into Hype.Comment

Good post and exactly what I said ages ago.
Hatton had nothing to do with my question and I never said he was better or worse.Comment

There is a problem of top fighter taking the easy fights in order to prolong their reign. I agree, My hope is that the next generation will see the error of that for their own legacy's.So are you happy to see top fighters fight ****ty opposition then?

Fact: You're downplaying DLH. He might not be the Oscar he once was, but he's still up there with the best in the world.
The truth is simple.... neither has a weak resume. Floyd has a fantastic resume while Hatton has a sound one. Floyd's resume even since Castillo is damn good. To suggest Floyd's is anything but is simply foolish. The truth is simple. Floyd has a weak resume, as does Hatton.
As for the fight in hand and about the OP...
I'd love to see Floyd knock Hatton out. Not because I like Floyd or overly dislike Hatton, but rather I want to see the better man win impressively. Odds are Floyd will be on his bike most of the night and score a pretty wide UD... but what's the fun in that? I want to see him stand toe to toe a few rounds, move when needed, and try to be a boxer puncher like he once was.Comment
