This thread is hilarious, everyone who tries to defend this "premature stoppage" idea still admits the fight was over, but that they would have felt "better" or been more "happy" had the fight ended differently, but just as you knew the fight was over, Steve Smoger, who was two feet away from it all, knew just the same.....

Oppourtounity? For what to get his head smashed in again he didnt even want to get up when it was stopped let alone get up after the 8 count.
As i said i seen alot of stoppages like taylors and mostly have always been the right dicision.
Pavlik had a advantage cause he got knocked down in the middle of the ring where he could beat the count when your trapped and gettin hammered what can the ref do but stop the fight ever heard of accumilation of punches? that kinda **** ****s up boxers.
hahha nice pic TUSUK LETS GIVE HIM HIS BOTTLES LOL
This is probably one of the worst posts on BoxingScene this year.

Probably not.
Smoger stepped in between the fighters right as Jermain fell down, which makes absolutly ZERO sense.
My thought is that the kid fought his ass off and deserved the oppourtounity to get up and fight back. Chances are he would have gotten stopped, chances are he wouldnt have won, but being the middleweight champ of the world, Taylor deserves the benefit of the doubt.
Thoughts?????
At first I thought he at least deserved a count. However, Taylor was getting hit with a lot of clean shots trapped up on the ropes, and there was one hook that made him momentarily go to sleep, just like when Zertuche just went limp for that split moment against Pavlik. When that happens, the fight needs to stop.

What the **** is wrong with the OP? Taylor was OUT, eyes closed, hands down, and semi concious, and the referee, regardless of what we see on tv, sees more from the angle he's at at the moment. STop being such crying little taylor loving bitches and admit. HE GOT EXPOSED and OWNED by Kelly Pavlik. ****.

That makes ZERO SENSE.
