My thought is that the kid fought his ass off and deserved the oppourtounity to get up and fight back. Chances are he would have gotten stopped, chances are he wouldnt have won, but being the middleweight champ of the world, Taylor deserves the benefit of the doubt.

I actually thought that Smoger is now a victim of the media and controversy. I knew this would happened to him. You could tell tonight that he was not going to be the same Smoger anymore. He's going to stop fights quick now. At the post fight presser he said that he was only 1 punch away from stopping the fight in round 2? Come on now. Taylor hit him with some good shots but Pavlik was not nearly bad enough to stop the fight.

Then the final stoppage also ******. Hear me out on this. Im not dumb, I know Taylor was out of it which makes it all moot but Smoger was actually stopping the fight before Taylor even went down. If Smoge stops the fight at the 2 count then I have no problem at all because you could see that Taylor was did but you couldnt clearly tell that before he went down. Smoger actually stopped the fight in the air and then Taylor went down. WTF was up with that? The guy is a undefeated Champ in a close fight who already dropped his opponent and your going to stop the fight like that? He deserved the benefit of going down and a count starting. After that then Smoger was right to stop it at any time but not before then.

Other then that, I also thought Smoger was average during the fight on the clinches. He didnt set the tone of what was allowed and what wasnt. He completely threw the fighters off.

Taylor keeps his hands down alot anyway. Its basically the same with Pavlik. He also hand his hands down when Taylor dropped him

Taylor Was Done When He Went Down He Looked Like A Drunk 13 Year Old At 3:00 Am. But I Still Give Mad Props To Taylor He Is A Great Champion. He Was Just Surprised By Pavlik Because I Think He Under Estimated Pavlik's Power And Skills

I have to respectfully disagree.

Mainly because I've seen Pavlik when he gets a guy hurt.

And I KNEW Taylor wasn't going to protect himself at that point.

Jermain is unfit to fight guys that dangerous.

He DON'T have the focus.
