In a rematch there's every chance that Taylor would win, right?

Though fair play to Pavlik for chin and heart.

Believe me for the most part I'm in complete agreement but in the case of Taylor I never had him down as much of a champion anyway. What are his crowning achievements at Middleweight? Two contentious decisions over Hopkins, a decision against former Jr Middle Ouma, a razor thin SD against a former Jr Welterweight Corey Spinks and a draw against Winky... Has Taylor ever looked like a triumphant conqueror? Has he ever really looked like a champion? His best wins seemed to be more of a surprise than a victory, and he never really looked triumphant; he always looked relieved.

Is it safe to say the Taylor hype is over?

That is exactly what I was thinking too: Cooney - Norton. That was a brutal beat down.

Taylor's got class though. He will be back.

I think Pavlik would get him in the rematch,he would practice cornering him and not letting him out the corner the next time. Then just pound with his power.
