Let's just put it this way. I have more respect for Taylor than I did before the fight. I finally saw a champion throw down and defend his crown. But, Pavlik was terrific. In round 2, he got up from being devastated and made it through the remaining 2 minutes of the round. He then reasserted himself and came back to knock his man out! This is the mark of a great champion, guys. I expect Pavlik to hold the belt for some time. Beautiful fight.

Don't you think he looked bad tonight? I thought Taylor was sharp, fast and by far the superior boxer. I gave Pavlik just two of the first six rounds on workrate alone. And I say this as a big Pavlik fan and as a man who made an avatar of Taylor with a green face.
Taylor's greenery tonight was shown in the way he let Pav off the hook, but Pav was one dimensional IMO. I thought Taylor achieved more in losing than he did in "winning".Comment

. but i dunno. what the heck man. tj was too sharp early( he almost had it in 2 but he(kelly) got what it takes ). though g**** to kelly for keeping it slow and deadly just waiting for the right time

As Ive been stating,he stayed in the corner a second longer then what he was doing before when he would flurry out of it. Well that second cost him. That was the only thing I saw that he did wrong.Which was more of a timing mistake.Don't you think he looked bad tonight? Can hardly wait for Pavlik vs.Taylor II
As I look into my crystal ball, I see a trilogy. The final outcome of the series is still a little murky at this time, but in the tradition of Robinson/LaMotta, it promises to be barn-burner of a rivalry.Comment
