IMO I feel that Mayweather is troubled about this fight with Hatton to be honest. For him he has talked about how Great he is for many years now and as the years have passed hes had quite a few close fights. In hes heart of hearts he knows Castillo beat him first time round, And also That DLH didnt deserve to lose there fight either,I mean DLH Castillo Hatton are simular in one way or another. Now IMO I think that yes this Hattons biggest fight, But also this Could be the fight that brings Mayeather down to earth, Who wants it the most??
Floyd Mayweather Has Been Mentally Breaking Down For The Last 2 Years If Not More

And as for da shadowboxing **** man im a ****ing beast son so dont let ya perception of one of my tapes deplete dat homey!Donald, you're pretty ****ing ******ed. You're good for a laugh when you come on drunk to talk about your boxing skills, but social commentary from you is useless.
Now do us a favor and post your latest shadowboxing video, I need a good laugh. Is the quadruple lead uppercut still lightning fast? Have you actually tried it in sparring without getting your lights put out?Comment

The fake retirement was the red flag to me. I always kind of thought Floyd was insecure all along, and that show he put on at the press conference was definetely a cry for attention. He surrounds himself with people who kiss his ass, gets defensive in interviews, and walks around with thousands of dollars in his pocket. He fronts like he's this confident arrogant guy, but outside of boxing he's anything but.Comment

One question. How is being on Dancing With The Stars suppose to attract more viewers to his fight, and boxing in general? 98% of viewers are middle-aged women. Do u really think they are gonna pony up 50-60 dollars to see him fight?Comment

I feel you dogz but people were calling Floyd the best since way back, this stems back to when he was a little kid, his life long family ALL say the same thing about him, when so many people say the same thing about you it can't be a lie, Floyd can make it rain all he wants, thats like saying these rapper crave attention when there are trend setters, look at Kostya Tszyu, a very humble man whom people respected, beat Zab Judah for the 1st time regardless of Zab's faults and moved on to continue fighting top people, he loses 1 time against Ricky Hatton and takes a while off now suddenly people forget "The Thunder From Down Under", it's all a game to stay relevant, he knows how to manipulate the mind and him being on dancing with the stars is good proof. people who don't like him on dancing with the stars know he's a boxer and are going to want to see him get his ass beat, instead all they will see is him shining but the point is they saw it, for whatever reason they saw it the point is their eyes viewed the fight on fight night and for Floyd thats mission accomplished..Again, good posting!
I have no idea what Floyd uses for motivation, but I think it's naive to believe it's for the greater good of boxing. Maybe that's the cynical bastard in me, I don't know.
Given that I said it's just a perception in the first sentence, I don't think I talked like I KNEW anything.
Floyd, like any other normal and sane human being, is nice personally. I don't doubt that, nor have I questioned it.
The ego thing I got from someone more educated in psychology than you and me (me at the very least).
It's in our very nature to act on things based on how it feels and which consequences it have for our own good.
I never indicated in any way that there are only one way of being.
It would be too perfect if everybody was like me
But, you can't get around the fact that everything you do ultimately comes down to your own ego.
Why do people like to help other people? Feels good. They like it. Bad conscious etc.
Doesn't matter why, it boiles down to their inner feelings regardless.
This matter is not up for discussion, as it can't be disputed.
In 150 years, we'll be in awe of Floyd, just as I'm in awe today. He's one of my favorite fighters, no question.
But that doesn't prevent me from being a firm believer that it's a weakness as a fighter to wade off to dance on national television when you have a big fight coming up.
The motive in his mind has nothing to do with me thinking exactly that.
You say he doesn't need to feed his ego as he's already somebody.
But that's the funny thing about us humans and our ego; it always craves for more.
Be it money, fame, power, ladies... it's always more!
Floyd knows what he's capable of yo don't let that phase you, it's no mystery to me why he hangs out with 50 Cent so much because they are two masterminded mother****ers, they know how to turn 15 minutes of fame into a whole career, he's doing things to bring exposure to the sport, even the judges while they were scoring him were making refferrences to boxing saying "Floyd she's not fighting you", they know who he is and they treat him accordingly and Floyd knows this, he eats that up and he keeps it pushing because it's all for the better of boxing, you telling me out of 30 million viewers not even 2 million will take a liking to Floyd and buy the fight aside from us who already are going to buy it? c'mon man let's be for real here this was a smart marketing tool, he's trying to cement his legacy because deep down inside he knows that there ain't too many more of these fights he will be involved in, he knows that soon he wants to retire so he's going out with a ****, you can't really blame that on ego yo, sure you can say it's his ego but it ain't all about that, he would have done this a long ass time ago and I didn't see no one saying **** about Oscar singing and making records and tours, he knew he was a big hit with the ladies so he capitalized and did what he did singing being something he already loved..
now the Golden Boy name up until that skank ***** Milana has brought many many viewers to the sport, some people ONLY watch Oscar fights ya dig and he was able to do that using MORE than just boxing, he involved himself in other things that he gained respect in with the people of Latin America and they showing support, same with Roy Jones Jr with singles on the radio, same with Shaq and Kobe and even Jay-Z, it's all smart marketing but the one really benefitting off of this is boxing because in a few years Floyd will be gone, no more Floyd but those who started watching the sport might not be and they gonna continue to watch it, I ain't being naive I'm just looking at this from a open minded point of view, Floyd doesn't need no more attention, he's already the pound for pound #1 recoginzed champion of the whole world in his weight division, he accomplished every Eye Of The Tiger fighters dream and continues to do so, he doesn't need the exposure yo, he's taking a chance for the embetterment of boxing and please people don't act like you don't know these press conferences are scripted, so many speeches and orderly **** going on, Floyd is just being the controversy and the people are just being the ones feeding into it, going back to the original point in this thread dogz Floyd ain't breaking down, he's capitalizing and becoming stronger.. 100Comment

how can you even begin to try to know how many people out of 30-40 million viewers are women, 98% middle aged ones at that, EVERYONE watches that show yo, in the hood everybody watches it, downtown everyone watches it, in Kansas somewhere they watching it, thats 30-40 million viewers of that show alone, you can't tell me Floyd ain't gonna turn a few heads, can't really say it's out of the question that somebody might just tune in when he fights based on what they saw of him in the show, not everyone has cable to watch fights but if they have a regular TV bet your ass they have channel 7, they see him on the show and they follow through, why is it so hard to believe Floyd did this for the sport when he doesn't usually do this? why do people find it so hard to believe he can attract more people to his sport? it's national exposure to a wide audience yo put 2 and 2 together here.. 100Comment

Absolutely.
Here stands the greatest fighter on this planet; and he has to describe to the world how his mother loves him and tells him nice things. Repeatedly.
A man.
It may sound like a standard put down archetype.. A below the belt shot.
But it's just the plain old truth.
well did thats boxing ...hit and run or stick and move.... its the name of the game....not every fighter is ******ed in enough to try and get brain damageComment

How can you call yourself a boxing fan and than say you don't appreciate a pure boxer?I agree, Floyd is extremely insecure and he knows that he is a boring fighter and boxing fans(like myself) don't appreciate his boring hit and run style. If Floyd goes toe to toe with Hatton and beats him I will have new found respect for him, but that will never happen. There is evidence of his mental breakdown in his interview with Larry Merchant after the most boring fight of the century with Carlos Baldomir.Comment
