                Maybe, but I would never bet on it...not at 140 I wouldn't.

Chavez - was shot and had lost 2 off his previous 5 and was destroyed by ODH way earlier , he was fed 5 nobodys after KT and retired , his last 5 opponents had 15 losses out of 30 .

Roger Mayweather - went the distance with KT ,, Roger was KOed by Ray Lavato 4 fights before KT , he was a veteran journey man way passed his use by date , Locky Lockridge also KOed Roger in his prime , KT went the distance ,, Roger has also said many times Floyd is class above what he was .

KT beat Forrest at amateur which is way different than the pros ,, Forrest would knock him out now at welter where they fight , Forrest is 154 now .

Livingston Bramble - had lost his 4 previous fights when he faced KT ,, was also a washed up now journeyman loosing 15 of his last 20 fights . KT went the distance with Bramble ,,,, Shannon Taylor KOed Bramble in 1 round .

Juan La Porte - was a featherweight champion 6 yrs before he fought KT , and was beaten at featherweight 2 fights before KT and at 10 pds heavier than his best weight still went the distance with KT .

Jake the Snake - lost his last 6 out of 8 by KO ,, KT was one of them , another decent fighter at the end of his career .

Pineda - was nobody and had not fought outside of columbia , was brought out to Aus to lose .

Hernandez - only fought one other name fighter in Chavez and got stopped , his career wins were against cans .

Calvin Grove - was stopped in his previous 2 prior to fighting KT , retired after KT fight , his career was built at lightweight .

Ruelas - his fights before KT , 8 opponents had 19 win and 28 losses ,, he was also stopped in 2 by ODH at lightweight 3 yrs earlier .

As you can see all his early name fighters had little left , and at the time and were just resume builders .

His latest fights were against good fighters but not near the class of ODH Mosley Trinidad Jones Pacman Cotto ,, any elite status in prime fighters are missing from Kostyas resume .

I believe Kostyas best win hands down was Gonzales , brilliant boxing that night with KT in the zone ..

Good fighter but his resume dont read like a legend , then on top he got beat badly by Phillips , showed up by Hector Lopez and quit on his stool to Ricky Hatton ,,,, sorry guys excellent world title holder but no legend , you have to fight legend status fighters to become one or do something really special like 6 weight divisions .

Dont bother with any flames or insults if you want to debate KTs resume with some facts lets go !
Oh my god. I cant believe I actually read this. Just some biased schoolboy ****. You're coming from an obvious agenda which really sucks. Mayweather fan perhaps?

JC - no one really is giving him credit for that win. Just like no one gives DLH credit for his wins over Chavez. I do personally like the way Tszyu dominated Chavez over the ways DLH did.

Roger- Roger won a single round? Yeah, he was savvy enough to last the fight. Your point is? MOOT.

Bramble and Laporte - Good fighters, KT fought these guys in like his 4th and 8th or so respectively. Name another champion who has fought former champions of this caliber this early in his career? Look no further then Davey Moore..who got his Rear kicked by Duran.

Calvin Grove - was out of his weight class. I am aware of that...KT dominated him which is what he was supposed to do.

You forgot about Hurtado. Hurtado's really only lost to world class fighters. All timers. Tszyu and Whitaker. And that is off my memory. I am not aware of any other losses. Tszyu dominated him. Win over Tackie.

Am I missing any other names. That is a pretty good resume. And the way he beat most of these guys was flat out impressive.

Fought the best Zab Judah the world has ever seen. Undefeated 27-0 Zabdiel udah. Win over undefeated, prime Urkal. Win over Mitchell x 2.

Mayweather would be Kostya. Kostya was a good fighter, I liked his style/personality.. but Mayweather would be too much trouble. He lost to Vince Phillips, who was a decent fighter, but was, in my opinion, the fight was on Vince's side, and THEN he KOd him. Kostya was young. I realize, styles make fights, however no way in hell Phillips EVER beats Mayweather. Regardless of age or if either was in their primes or not. As it goes for Kostya and Mayweather. Mayweather has a GREAT defense, and would block some of those right hands, and could take the fight as long as it needs to go, In Kostya's two toughest fights, he couldn't (Hatton/Phillips).. Mayweather by UD, Close enough fight, but Kostya fades in the end of this one and Mayweather wins 3 to 4 of the first 6 rounds, and then sweeps the last 3. with 7-9 up in the air. Just how I see it.
