No dude. We are talking about the Best Pound for Pound boxer in the world. It has nothing to do with so-called excitement, it has to do with who is the best Pound for Pound fighter in the world. If Floyd is #1 currently, it is HIS spot to lose, and the #2 guy beating an old, (albeit lengendary and still very good), unranked and kinda slumping MAB coming off a loss doesn't move him up to #1, especially since he is fighting another undefeated top 10 P4P fighter. Do you guys really dislike him so much that you would use such faulty logic?

If Floyd loses on Dec, 8th, thats a different story, but the top spot is his to lose, a la RJJ.

P.S. And we can all thank heaven above that the people making the list ARE professionals, and NOT Oscar (someone who he just beat) and Bob Arum (his old promoter), idk what you mean by saying the professionals making the list are putting Pacman up to #1...

The Marquez fight is the one fight that I could see that makes Pacquiao jump Mayweather... I just don't think he can beat Marquez, and I don't know if Marquez jumps Mayweather if he beats Pacquiao... I guess we will have to wait and see.

agree with you two... if and when he beats JMM, he should be p4p #1... i think that's why people reserve the top dog title to PBF, pac has yet to win over jmm...

Pacman can definitely beat Marquez, it could have happened before if only not for the mistake of one of the judges. Yeah you're right, as of the moment we just have to wait and see the outcome of their fights. Hatton and barrera can pull out big upsets which would change the scenario.

First of all whoever said that the p4p rankings are based on skill is full of ****.
It's not how skilled you are it's what you do with your skills.

Second, what's up with judghing who is p4p based on KO ratio and records..... This isn't ****ing algebra.

Floyd mayweather is P4P the best and will still be if he beats Hatton. Unless he starts fighting bums and stays undefeated that way he won't lose his Top spot until he losses....plain and simple. Everything he has done has added on to his record in some way positive. When he defeated Baldomir......he defeated the linear recognized welterweight champion....when he defeated Oscar.....he defeated a 6-division champion and at that time WBC 154lb champion which made floyd a 5-division champion. Now he is fighting a Top 10 p4p undefeated Ring magazine jr.welterweight champ in Ricky hatton.

It's the Ring Magazine 140lb champ vs The Ring magazine 147lb champ

The Last Fighter who had a shot at dethroning floyd from his top spot was Winky Wright
