Also. Please keep in mind #2 P4P PAC going against a #7 P4P MAB victory is much more appreciated and will lift the rankings higher than a #1 P4P PBF going against a #13 Hatton. Especially in the fashion PAC does things.

P4P ranked #3 is Juan Manuel Marquez. Shane Mosely is ranked #12 and Miguel Cotto is ranked #13.

If PAC doesnt take it this year. He will on definately be taking it if he beats JMM #3 P4P. Even after a Floyd#1 vs. Mosely#12 or Cotto#13.

I don't know what rankings you are looking at, but... The Ring has their current P4P lists (they only do the top 10) as:

#1 Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. #9 Ricky Hatton
#2 Manny Pacquiao vs. Unranked Marco Antonio Barrera

Still it would depend on the outcome of their next fights, if Mayweather wins convingly next fight then he will retain his title as pound for pound king, if not and Pacman wins, then Pacman would be the new pound for pound king.. Pacman wins convincingly all the time.

Umm, I don't think Pacquiao is going to jump him anytime soon. It was Hopkins and Mayweather, neck and neck after Jones lost... I don't think Pacquiao has made up that much ground yet.

I'm with BPP on this one. It seems ******ed to consider him P4P after beating sombody he's already beaten. Who would be a better fight for him to claim that title as things stand right now?

MAB #7?!?!?! By coming off a loss against a guy who was unraked at the time?!?!

And p4p anyway is supposed to mean who is the most SKILLED, it means that if weight wasn't an issue who'd win - you're telling me Pacquiao is more skilled than Floyd?!?!

well it depends on your definiton of skill if skill is only the way u move around the right and trow jabs then ivan calderon would be p4p number1
i think ko ratio shuld be considered as well
thats why i always liked pac better than mayweather for p4p

He's already number 2 P4P. But I guess your right, he haven't made that much ground yet, and I don't think if in case he wins against barrera will make such impact. He keeps on beating guys he beat before. Maybe a Manuel Marquez win will undoubtedly put him on top.

PAC will probably be P4P #1 after Oct. 6. and deserves it. I think the Mayweather Hatton fight in Dec will determine if Floyd gains it back.
Hes going to beat an old guy, not on the p4p list coming off a loss.
Not to mention Pac already knocked him out.
                      Your logic makes no sense.
