Floyd acknowledged the accomplishments of the past fighters as well. I believe there is a youtube video posted somewhere around here where he gives credit to duran and leonard.....where he explains that he gave 30 years of his life to boxing and that even though he isn't trying to disrespect the leonards and the durans's he didn't become a boxer just to say that those guys are better then him. He also said that if you don't believe in yourself and don't believe that you're the best you shouldn't be boxing period. It's self confidence.......so forget about it

Thanking the past greatest for paving "the road" for him, and sayng that is like him saying the have built a statue for him for the fans to worship isnt to far off in my book. but as someone else pointed out about ali, he was talking alot more ****, worse ****, before he was ANYTHING at all, i think Ali would have been hated worse than mayweather if he existed in this time because if you knew the atmosphere that surrounded him and his trash talk at the time, youd understand that in reality, mayweather while not being as witty as ali, at the least waited until he was a somebody before talking all this rediculousness.
