Floyd acknowledged the accomplishments of the past fighters as well. I believe there is a youtube video posted somewhere around here where he gives credit to duran and leonard.....where he explains that he gave 30 years of his life to boxing and that even though he isn't trying to disrespect the leonards and the durans's he didn't become a boxer just to say that those guys are better then him. He also said that if you don't believe in yourself and don't believe that you're the best you shouldn't be boxing period. It's self confidence.......so forget about it

I believe somebody adviced hatton to step up the trash talik a bit and stop kissing floyd's arse every conference saying the same thing how floyd is the best p4p fighter in the world over and over and how greatful he is to get the oppritunity to fight him. If not, then it was his idea to change it up a bit.

I still find that disrepectful, saying they paved the road for him. Come on reminds me as if ppl like SRR, Ali, Louis, Duran, and ect slaved for him some sort of statue of worship. Being ****y is another thing but saying your "Gods gift to boxing" is another. I do think Floyd is going to win Dec. 8th , and I dont care who wins or loses this fight cause I am more so on the neutral part of things and just wanting to watch a greating boxing match. People replying back talking about how Ali said he was the greatest, and also remember Robinson was quite the egotist himself. That is true and a good agruement to defend Floyd, but in most peoples eyes Floyd still hasnt done enough to even claim that. The way I see it is let him say what he wants you as a person know/think who the real GOAT is, just like Floyd does. Like someone stated it could be just to sell the fight.

Fair enough but the word "*****" is being thrown around too quickly around here. Makes me think a new word needs to be invented for the people who really committ big time ***** ass moves since Ricky expressing his feelings towards floyd's disrespect (although he keeps showing he is not too bothered by it) is being considered ***** like behavior. Guess he should just lie and not say the obvious. He could say, "no floyd's disrespectful behavior doesn't bother me at all. In fact I don't even consider it disrespectful really."
