When people say that Mayweather is just taking the easiest fight he can in Hatton, instead of fighting Williams, Cotto, Mosley etc. I say that a lot of it has to do with money, because it is blatantly obvious that money is pretty much the top priority that Floyd considers when making a decision about what fight he wants.

I agree, but I think that could change if he looks like he has a lot left in the tank against Mayweather. If he looks really good in losing a lot of close rounds, then Mayweather might get more credit than expected.

Where does Hatton go after he beats Mayweather? Who lines up best for him?

Haven't thought about it, because I don't have much confidence in the first part of your statement.

If he does win, he should fight Paul Williams.

I think Oscar is a lot to bite off. I think Hatton should stick to small welters if he stays at 147, he is awfully short for the division.

Maybe, I don't know, I'd actually say Mosley, because if he can beat Mayweather, it's the fight that is the closest. Brawling against boxing. The rest of the welters (for the most part) are also brawlers, who are a lot stronger and bigger... an uphill climb for Mr. Hatton.

And yes, these threads did get merged.
