I picked other, because I'm an idiot... I was thinking about someone who never even fought at middleweight, because he beat Harry Greb a whole bunch.

Well anyways, the best light heavyweight is Gene Tunney... that's where I was going with that.

Well Hagler would have destroyed any welter from any era, but that is probably because he would have a significant weight advantage on all of them. At least you didn't pick Gene Tunney for greatest Middleweight ever.

Suppose all you want, at the end of the day, Hagler proved in his prime he was unstoppable.

Best chin, Most tenacious, one of the longest reigns, never down(I know of the slip). And fought Duran,Hearns,Mugabi,Roldan,Leonard and a slew of top notch pros.

No one gets close in my opinion. Robinson at 2.

As far as overall ability, Robinson was more well rounded, but at middle and prime, I'd bet the farm on Hagler by late stoppage everytime.

          The man was a beast!!!!

How can no one get close when you consider Monzon beat better MIDDLEWEIGHTS than Hagler?

I pick Hagler but I haven't seen much of Monzon. Historians say he was just as good.

Hagler was extremely well-rounded and versatile.

Since Robinson never got stopped other than due to heat exhaustion in 200 fights, I can't really pick anyone his size over Robinson by KO.

Robinson was great at adapting in rematches, I can definitely see Hagler winning the first fight and Robinson taking the rematch.
