Weak mental strength? I don't know about that. Just because you lose does not mean your will is broken and you are a weak mental fighter. Winky and Forrest were flat out BETTER then him. He has really only lost to two fighters, both with a similiar style and both with great jabs that were able to keep Mosley off of him.

I feel very confident in Mosley's mental strength.

I would put him at an ultra high percentage in that category..

But not quite at 100%.

I'll have to disagree that Forrest was flat out better than Shane.. IMO Forrest had a mental advantage against Mosley and that made the difference as well as size, and some other variable factors. If not for the headbutt in the first fight history may have been different - but what happened after that showed us the mental vulnerability of Shane Mosley. He was not able to get himself fully back into it.

Cotto has the proven edge in mental strength if we're giving that category to one fighter or the other. Their track records prove it.

And Forrest and Wright have a similiar style?... Hmmm... I would say they fire shots in a similiar jerky fashion but that's where the similarities tend to END.

You're right I was overexagerating a bit. But, I think the point still stands. I mean in life there is always someone better then you. At least 99.8 % of the time. Sometimes you just run into road blocks like what happened with Mosley and Forrest the first time. I mean calling him mentally weak or "weaker"...I think that's a stretch to be honest. But your entitled to your opinion.

Winky of the past had a similiar style to Forrest. They both beat Mosley pretty much the exact same way. Only the last few years is when we've really seen Winky dig in and throw more shots instead of jab, parry, jab, parry etc.

I'm going to assume you guys have a history in discussing stuff about Cotto, as the last 3 pages on this topic is nothing but utter ****.

Addison, you make sound, valid points which I can't dispute.

Winky and Forrest did defeat Mosley in a somewhat similar way; by timing a good, hard jab to nullify Mosley's speed advantage.

Cotto's win is indeed in doubt without the low blows, at least in my book.
I don't care about others' book, because I've got my own.

I think Cotto's power is severly overrated by some people in here. He's a good, strong puncher, but not devastating in any sense of the word.
However, the bodywork is outstanding, and that might include the claimed back-punching mentioned by Addison. I'm not going to find that out right now, as I'm getting tired.

When it comes to the fight, I'll favor Mosley simply because he's pretty much good at everything, except blocking punches with his head.
Good foot-movement and fast hands will always cause people problems when these assets are combined with reasonable skill.
In addition to have those things in abundance, Mosley is powerful and tough too.
How tough, tougher than Cotto? I don't know, we'll find out.
But I do know that there's a point where you are too tough... Like Tito.
If he wasn't so damn tough and proud, he just might have learned how to box a little, earlier in his career.

I think Mosley will win. The manner I think he'll win? No idea.
