Mosley's not gonna go into a defensive shell once he gets hit. He's similar to MAB that when he gets hit he's very quick to try to answer back. Cotto's used to being the boss in the ring & doing what he wants. In this fight he's goign to have an extremely difficult time trying to impose his will on Mosley because Shane's is gonna him him back hard & often. I wouldn't doubt it if Cotto gets dropped from a body shot from Mosley either.

Cotto only got a mini-mini chicken dance out of Judah with an extended straight right hand fully loaded. And this was after Judah was dragging his ass like it weighed as much as Vida Guerra's.. Baldomir had Judah on springs with a shot that was very similiar. And Baldomir is not a smasher.. This is Zab Judah's chin we're talking about - and Cotto barely dented it.

If Cotto had power anything like you're describing he'd be knocking guys into the parking lot.
good to hear some logical remarks.
this is a step up for cotto.and his power hasnt come up to welter.
not to say he couldnt rock mosley from multible blows.
cottos heart and the way he gets stronger in later rounds should be worrisome to mosley.
mosley by decision or late tko

      Is that somewhat absurd???

How many times has Bernard Hopkins been DQ'd?

His name is been dragged through the mud countless times as a "dirty fighter." Do you have to be disqualified to be a dirty fighter?.....

      **** NO.

      Melodrama, Gringo. Melodrama..

Quintana turned and gave Cotto his back - I agree. But that does not serve to explain the shots on the back recieved by COUNTLESS other opponents of Miguel Cotto including Oktay Urkal:
Oh wow, now we are comparing Miguel Cotto to Bernard Hopkins...also absurd. Maybe I should have used different language (outside of saying he has never been close to being DQ'ed) to communicate to you that Cotto has no track record of being dirty in the past. Hopkins is a fighter who has carried this stigma for a large part of his career after visibly hitting in clinches, holding, leading with his head, intentionally fouling (Echols for example), etc. Cotto unintentionally strays low a couple of times against Judah, Urkal complains about Cotto hitting him in the back in an ugly fight in which Urkal leads with his head, holds, etc, and this makes Cotto a dirty fighter huh? I guess there is plenty of time for him to work on impersonating Bernard though right?

So you agree that Quintana turned and gave Cotto his back, but there's no reason to believe that Urkal did this in some instances and received the same result? Get real.

And who are these "COUNTLESS" other opponents that Cotto has blatantly fouled and hit in the back without any prior warning or chastising? When you make these bold claims and don't give examples it makes it look like you don't know what you're talking about. Examples would be nice. I have seen a large portion of Miguel Cotto's career (early and otherwise) and I never have never seen any reason to call him a dirty fighter, outside of the few regular side effects that come with a body punching specialist.

TURNING YOUR BACK (completely) is one of the oldest Boxing rules.

      Not "TURNING AWAY."

Manuevering straight forward, sideways, or back is IMPOSSIBLE in this sport or any other; for a bi-pedal humanoid who isn't on roller skates FYFI...

      What is this amateur hour???

.....It's getting pretty ****ing old arguing with these Cotto fans who think with their hearts instead of their goddamn heads...
Turning away, turning your back, whatever you want to call it...

You shouldn't jump into a punch that is going at your body so that you put yourself in danger of being hit in the testicles, and you shouldn't turn your back to an incoming punch body punch so that it hits you in the back, or puts you at risk for that painful experience. Quintana (as you admitted) found this out the hard way. It's Cotto's opponents job to protect themselves. As long as he is not blatantly going low like Golota on Bowe, or hitting behind the head like Peter did Toney, or reaching around his opponents body to hit them in the back, I see no reason to call him a dirty fighter.

You are getting emotional about this, as a non-fan of Cotto. Your explanations are one-dimensional and limited (I found that particularly humorous).

I don't care about this subject THIS much..

          **** Cotto and **** talking.

You are a Cotto FANBOY, I get it.. Great.

I SLICED YOUR ARGUMENT TO PIECES AND WILL DO SO EACH AND EVERY TIME YOU COME AT ME. YOUR LOGIC IS FLAWED. YOU'RE A SMART KID GRINGO, BUT YOU CAN'T BEAT ME. FACE IT.

YOU CAN'T SAY ****** ****ING **** TO ME LIKE "GET REAL" OR "IS THIS AMATEUR HOUR?"

YOU SOUND LIKE A ****ING MORON TALKING TO ME LIKE THAT, SON.

I'M NOT GOING TO DO HOURS OF RESEARCH TO ESTABLISH SOMETHING THAT I CAN WITH A QUOTE OR AN EXCERPT. THAT IS ENOUGH.

YOU DIDN'T PRODUCE **** EXCEPT YOUR WHINY OPINION.

Gringo gets cut the **** up and comes back trying to slice onions and target individual WORDS in paragraphs.

              WEAK ****!!! :wank:

              Read it again:

"Urkal had enough," Wegner said, who was upset by Cotto's borderline kidney shots. "I wasn't going to let him take any more punches to the back. They weren't body shots. He was getting hit in the back. It was wrong."
Urkal was also bothered by a biceps injury suffered from repeated blows to his arm in the fourth or fifth round.
