Cotto only got a mini-mini chicken dance out of Judah with an extended straight right hand fully loaded. And this was after Judah was dragging his ass like it weighed as much as Vida Guerra's.. Baldomir had Judah on springs with a shot that was very similiar. And Baldomir is not a smasher.. This is Zab Judah's chin we're talking about - and Cotto barely dented it.

If Cotto had power anything like you're describing he'd be knocking guys into the parking lot.
He stunned Zab (made him dance) at least three times with the uppercut. I remember because Steward called it every time, and every time Zab got hurt he would do a quick wobble backwards and point to the ground.

I don't think see Miguel as a one punch KO guy though, no.

The only thing I don't agree with is the 10 year seniority gap. I mean If you are 18 and I am 28 in a boxing ring I would work your ass out, but that's just me being petty lol.

On a serious note you hit the nail right on it's head. There are alot of questions going into this fight, the type of questions that will leave fans interested and hyped to see this fight go down. Hopefully this fight leaves us with more answers t han questions.

Yo Addsion, you should just call Cotto and ask him if it's OK to visit your ex girl...Your bias against Cotto is crazy. We will see on fight night Larry Merchant Jr.

the only reason cotto hits his opponents in the back is because his opponents turn away to run from him while he is throwing punches and thats why some of his punches land on the back, it's not cotto's fault that his opponents are scared of getting hit by him
This excuse gets repeated too often. Miguel Cotto is a professional prizefighter. He can see his opponents turning - he can anticipate reactions and changes. That is the whole ****ing point of being a Boxer.

He knows goddamn well when someone's back is going to be there and he strikes it full force anyway. KNOWING.

Opponents aren't scared of getting hit by him - it's their JOB to not get hit by him. They are well within their rights to move and get better position. Cotto sees that as an opportunity to get in some free shots.

Hitting an opponent in the back is a ****ing FOUL.

            No excuses.

He put Judah on his back from collective exhaustion.

              Not any hard punching.

So you think Cotto is intentionally a dirty fighter? That's somewhat absurd, seeing as how he's 30 fights into his career and he has never been anywhere near being DQ'ed.

You say it as if Cotto's opponents go into a side stance to show him less of their body to **** on, and he just starts wailing away at their back....WRONG.

Carlos Quintana, for example, turned at virtually the same time Miguel Cotto was throwing a shot to his ribcage and that mother****er just happened to get blasted on the back. What do you want Cotto to do? Become Superman in an instant and develop unbelievable amounts of fast twitch fibers, pulling his punch so that Quintana can have a chance in the fight? What is this amateur hour?

His opponents are within their right to move and get better position so that it keeps them out of harms way. Turning away from an opponent violates one of the oldest boxing rules. You wouldn't jump into a punch so that it hits you low, much like you shouldn't turn your back on a fighter so that you get hit in a sensitive area. Cotto, sans Judah low blows, fights relatively cleanly, especially considering his style of fighting.

                      Is that somewhat absurd???

How many times has Bernard Hopkins been DQ'd?

His name is been dragged through the mud countless times as a "dirty fighter." Do you have to be disqualified to be a dirty fighter?.....

                      **** NO.

                      Melodrama, Gringo. Melodrama..

Quintana turned and gave Cotto his back - I agree. But that does not serve to explain the shots on the back recieved by COUNTLESS other opponents of Miguel Cotto including Oktay Urkal:

"Urkal had enough," Wegner said, who was upset by Cotto's borderline kidney shots. "I wasn't going to let him take any more punches to the back. They weren't body shots. He was getting hit in the back. It was wrong."
Urkal was also bothered by a biceps injury suffered from repeated blows to his arm in the fourth or fifth round.

TURNING YOUR BACK (completely) is one of the oldest Boxing rules.

                      Not "TURNING AWAY."

Manuevering straight forward, sideways, or back is IMPOSSIBLE in this sport or any other; for a bi-pedal humanoid who isn't on roller skates FYFI... :wank:

                      What is this amateur hour???

.....It's getting pretty ****ing old arguing with these Cotto fans who think with their hearts instead of their goddamn heads...
