tyson in his prime would have knocked lewis out so cold, when he woke up he would be talking in a ****ney accent.

Lewis was a good fighter, thats about it.
It matters a whole lot if you avenge losses, Rahman and McCall got him with a lucky punch, which proved true in the rematches. And if you check his resume, he has one of the best ones . Most fighters in history would have had a lot more losses than Lewis with that kind of competition. Let me use Holy as an example, both Holy and Lewis have great resumes, Holy has 8 losses while Lewis only has 2 which he avenged.

There is no way he is top 5. And only the new breed of fan have him locked in the top 10 because they haven't seen much of the others. If you go to cyberboxingzone, where researchers and experts post, the consensus is that he is top 15. Just missing the top 10. I'd say that's the most fair. If in the top 10 it has to be 8-10. Any higher is ignorant.

Mate, on paper his resume looks nice, when you look into the resume, it aint all that

          -Tyson, totally shot
-Holyfield, blown up cruiser, people thought he won the 2nd fight
-Rahman, knocked him the **** out
-Mc Call, also knocked him the **** out
          -Bruno, hurt him nearly won
-Vitali, hurt him, and also nearly won.

          etc, etc,

Just a good fighter, not im the same leauge as prime tyson, ali, louis and the other legends.

How can you say prime Tyson is in a different league? He got beat by Douglas, who is nowhere close to Lewis. I guess Tyson is highly overrated too since he got knocked the **** out by one of the worst champs of all time. In his prime Tyson beat noone that can beat Lewis. Alot of fighters struggled with Frank Bruno, Tyson struggled with Bruno too. Lewis has done everything possible he could do in his time. He was out of shape and he still beat the #1 contender Vitali Klitshcko.

Tyson's resume ain't that great, and should Lewis apologize for Tyson spending time in the clink? Bowe probably thought Lewis better than 'good', otherwise he wouldn't have thrown his belt in the trash and ran from him.

Did tyson struggle with Frank Bruno when he ended his carrer, or did bruno land one good shot on him before tyson made him pay? Exactly.

Tyson knocked down Buster douglas in that fight and had problems outside the ring anyways.

But here's all you need to know, when tyson was 19 and undisputed champ knocking out grown men twice his size lewis was nowhere, and lewis spent his whole lifew making up excuses for not fighting tyson, even when he was passed it, mainly cos he was smart enough to know that if hasim rahman knocked him out, tyson would do the same too, lewis only took on tyson when he knew tyson had no chance, and lewis knows it, and ut was that win that made people talk about lewis as an ATG and talk about of their ass ring about how lewis could beat a prime tyson.

Lewis fought a ****load of average fighters and` got knocked out twice by average fighters, top 10 of all time my ass, that HW division lewis was in, was nothing remoitley like the one Ali fought in.

And just for the record, i couldnt give a flying **** if Bowe didnt wanna fight lewis, that dont make lewis top 10 of all time, rahman wanted to fight lewis, and he knocked him flat out.

I guess that's your opinion, nothing i can do to change it, i'm sure though that youre one of the very few that think that way. Just can't appreciate and understand what Lewis accomplished. He was a one man standing, he cleaned up the whole division. Theres nothing he could have done more.

Lewis is a good fighter, but ****in el, when people start talking about top 5-10, it gets silly, he's the bernard hopkins of the heavyweight divison, a world class fighter who carefully crafted a 'legendary' resume with a diet of back-alley bums, past it fighters and smaller men.
