Top 5 of all time. He has one of the best resumes of all time, and the 2 losses and draw that he has, he avenged them.
Well said that man, also unifield belts, 3 time champ beat the 2 other greats, and boxed and beat everyone in the strongest the division ever was, with possibly the exception of the 70's and was 11years from his 1st title until he retired as champ
He caught his contemporaries (Holy, Tyson) long after the fact, struggled with mediocre fighters (Briggs, Mavrovic, etc.). I respect him but I don't consider him a great

I see the arguments for putting him above Holy and Tyson, but I don't like them.
Im assuming this has is a Heavyweight All time list, cause p4p....
but Lennox HAS to be in the top 10 for Heavyweights. beating everyone hes ever faced, a TON of title defences, and more 'good' name fighters than any other Heavyweight.
only problem is he never really faced a huge name big fight. but whatever.
hes below Holmes, Ali, and Louis undoubtedly. And Im sure you could get a few others above Lewis with decent arguments...Foreman, Liston would be OK...but what 10 Heavyweights have better resumes than Lewis? even if you went ahead and placed Liston, Foreman, Tyson and Holyfield ahead of Lewis, hes STILL in the top ten!
PLEASE dont tell me Jack Johnson or Jack Dempsey...ack.

I cant put him in the top 5 becuase he was knocked out visciuosly by 2 mediocre fighters. sure he avenged them which helps but still doesnt change the fact he was stopped by them,,,plus his 2 biggest wins were over holy and tyson who were both past there primes. I put him somewhere between 7 and 10 all time. his right hand and hand speed for his size were awesome
