Where is Boxing’s Version of Rampage-Henderson?

and you can't just look at the main event .. to judge the WHOLE show

sure it wasn't the most exciting fight in the world (rampage-henderson).. a bit more wrestling true.

but don't look at just the main event, look at it as UFC 75 the whole show ... it was very good. (the only thing lagging were those tedious commercial breaks)

*whens the last time a boxing card put on 3 entertaining fights all in the same show?

ok the Gatti-Gomez, Cintron-Mattseyy and P-Will-Margairito triple header was sick as hell .. but thats one of the only I can think of

and even the above was 3 fights .. at 2 diff arenas

boxing matches last longer generally, and they throw tons more punches, so it all evens out.

sometimes undercards are a little weak though, but not for these fights we have in the future, theres some excellent full cards up ahead.

I was watching that fight with a couple of friends. We were about 12, half of us was picking Henderson, the other half picked Rampage.

What an exciting fight! I haven't seen fight liek this in Boxing, not to mention it was free. Boxing needs to wake up.

Lmao it was awesome They reminded me of Manny Pacquiao swinging with there head down with power. No Wonder roy jones jr and Floyd mayweather jr call Pacman a good little Street fighter he fights like UFC style striking.

no kidding boxing is longer .. more rounds. self explanatory. plus 50 seconds between rounds

look at it like this .. the longest a UFC fight can go is 15 minutes (for a 3 round fight) and 25 minutes for a five round fight .. once a boxing fight is into the fifth round .. thats at or around 15 minutes

if Henderson-Jackson was the only match up on UFC.. then yes it wouldn't have been good.

but the other under card bouts were pretty good (did you happen to catch the first 2?)

The Bisping-Hammil(sp?) fight was great, very close, hard hitting ****, also the fight, I forget which one, where the dude almost got KO'd from a kick, then came back and made dude submit, good ****.

you can like whatever you want, but if you really thought that Henderson vs. Rampage was better than any boxing match youve seen, then either you havent seen many boxing matches or are simply not much of a boxing fan. Im a huge fan of Henderson and enjoyed the fight, but hes had more action ones.

sure, I saw the whole thing. but you have to think about it like this...
4 UFC fights averaging 10 minutes each=40 minutes of entertainment.
2 Boxing matches averaging 20 minutes each=40 minutes of entertainment.
so it evens out, right? just depends what you like

You seem quite unsecure about this. I probably watch more or as much boxing as you. What I was tryign to say was it brought me much satisfaction compared to recent boxing event.

Sure Hendo, has had alot of exciting fights but that wasn't my point and you obviously missed it.

its funny how they say rampage was UFC and henderson was PRIDE when a few fights ago they were both pride fighters. and rampage made a name in pride not in the ufc. i got bored after a few rounds. and just watched a replay of the vazquez vs marquez 2 which was more entertaining.

the only fight that wasnt good was kongo - crocop. the main event was a grueling 5 round wrestling brawling fight . it was great IMO. the first 2 and the 4th fight were awesome .
