Will MMA take over Boxing in the next 10-20 years?

I get this feeling in my gut, that MMA will soon take over boxing.

Is this true, i hope not.

All these debates, by ppl, asying that boxing is only limited, which i agree
but its still my favourite sport. Yet people love hardcore cage fighting, and MMA is one. Thaats like telling a future-pro that MMA' is more famous, and
all his hardwork, and dedication should be put on rest and switch to MMA.

What would you rather watch triathlon or 100 metres dash?

Then MMA is more of a sport for you. According to my beliefs at least.

i'm not even sure how the hell you can compare triathlon and 500 meters
to Boxing and MMA, it doesn't work. Hey i like MMA, but I love Boxing More.

Care to explain your correlation between the two?

Well. MMA is a combination of combat sports, hence, no perfection in any given one whether it's wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, etc.

Forget triathlon then. Let's talk about Decathlon, that's a track and field event that combines 10 events: 100m, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400m, 110m hurdles, discuss throw, pole vault, javelin throw, 1500m.

Giving decathlon another thought, it's actually kind of interesting I like it. But I sitll prefer the single disciplines cause I get the very best. the 100m dash, the 110m hurdlers, etc.

I don;t expect any Decathlon athlete to be able to win an even or even come close to the top 20 in 100m and the other events just like I don't expect what;s his name Tyson Gay I think, to win or even come close to winning the Decathlon. Same with boxers and mma fighters.
