A hyperlink on a page is far from proof!

At any rate Gayweather will be thrashed come fightnight!!!
Do you want Hank Kaplan to come to your house and tell you?

You just made a clown out of yourself. Shut up.

Corrales was at 130lbs, everything concerning Floyd has been since leaving that division. No body doubts his accomplishments at 130lbs because he did actually beat some decent competition, but since leaving his opposition has been mediocre at best, why can't those that worship him accept that plain fact? It's just sickening!
what you fail to realize is that cotto wasnt ready to fight him nor was hatton. what else was he to do?he moved up in weight fought judah, baldomir and oscar, all these guys on any given night can **** with the best in the game. all these guys were suppose to dethrone him but we saw what happened. when he defeated them all a sudden they were all washed up. hatton doesnt have a chance in hell, just plain simple. most of you are judging mayweather on character, like you know him on a personal level and are praying for mayweather to take an L. ****s not going to happen. anyone betting on hatton to win, please bet me. i will be more than happy to take your money.

                .
You kinda contradicted yourself, Unseen....by using Tyson as an example.

Mike Tyson would regularly fight guys six or eight inches taller. If you have a stocky build, so be it. Same with Joe Frazier. Montell Griffin. Hector Camacho. Etc. Height doesn't make fights. Most fighters have stopped growing (height-wise) by the time they turned pro. So it is incumbent upon the fighter to develop and hone a style that fits your body type.

Pernell Whitaker was 5'6". And moved up in weight. And had alot less 'natural strength' than Ricky. Supposedly.

My issue is that it seems like Hatton is one of the very few fighters at the upper echelon of the sport who hasn't moved up. In ten years.

Jaidon Codrington is on The Contender??

                  • Hatton not effective.

The talent level of Pernell Whitaker was amazing .. he is a hall of famer

what if Hatton just isn't effective at 147 pounds. at 140 he can impose his size and will quite easily over fighters with similar height and built.

and the biggest reason, is intangables. Take Diego Corrales (RIP) and Pac Man. both of those fighters rely on power, amung things

Corrales at 6 foot was towering for a 130 to 135 pd fighter. but bump him up to 147 .. and he's ineffective .. the bigger (as in size) and more physical fighters aren't hurt by his power and its neutralised.

Manny Pac ... fights at Super Feather right now. Could his power carry at 140 for example?

*People have said that Floyd moved up in weight to pick off weaker champs. what if his body just naturally out grew the divisions, and Floyd didn't want to continue to cut weight to make lower divisions.

its been good, the moving up because in addition to winning numerous title belts, its gotten Mayweather used to fighting different styles of fighters, big and small. (so when a physical fighter comes his way and roughs him up a bit, it won't be a complety new experience)

Hatton moved up to fight Collazo and IMMEDIATELY announced that he was moving back down because he wasn't a WW.

Mayweather isn't a WW, so that's not "moving up". Ricky will be the heavier man in the ring. Hell, Floyd barely weighs 147 on FIGHT NIGHT. Billy Graham said that they would fight Floyd at that weight because weight isn't an issue b/c Floyd is small.

Side note: PBF was 145 on fight night for Judah, and 148 on fight night for Delahoya. By comparison, Corrales and castillo were 149/148 for their LIGHTWEIGHT fight. Pacquiao has been 142+ for his SFW fights. Hatton was 150+ for Castillo.
