In the context of your claim. No it doesnt. Calzaghe has been dominant and undefeated in his division for a longer period of time than PBF. Your claim was wrong. Well done for cleverly ignoring the rest of the post that you couldnt argue with though.

Are you seriously claiming that Oscar De La Hoya was the most credible champion to face at 154? Or even Carlos Baldomir at 147? The last division that Floyd truly dominated was 135. He never had more than a couple of fights in anything upwards of that. I dont know whether you realise this, but 20 defences in over 10 years is considerably more than a couple of fights over a couple of years.

Sure. The experts dont mean ****. We should trust the opinions of ONE RANDOM IDIOT on an internet discussion forum who claims that Gatti is better than Hatton. You're pretty much the only fool I've heard suggesting this. So what makes your opinion more credible than that of the Ring?

And Floyd has? And GATTI has?!?!? Every time Gatti stopped up to a class similar to Hatton's, he got stopped. And sometimes when he wasnt even at that level...he also got beat.

Corrales, Gatti, Baldomir, DLH Castillo twice, Chavez.

        There's six for you.

Hatton? Magee, Maussa (who?), Urango (who?), old Zoo, old JLC.

The irony is thicker than crude oil...

          Wise up, dude.
AND HE LOST 3 OUT OF 5 of them. How can you not comprehend that. I could go out and fight the best fighters who ever lived. Each and every one of them. I could also get knocked out each time. Does that make me an incredible boxing talent?

Not only that, but your ascertation that he came out 'fresh and ready to fight anyone else' is ridiculous. When he fought PBF he was about as shot as a fighter could possibly be.

Thats not even bringing into the issue of you claiming that Mickey Ward is a better fighter than Castillo or Kostya Tszyu. Thats just utter madness.

Very well, bad memory from me. I dont have to stretch very far to look for another suitably unimpressive example. I wanted a knockdown, but his two knockOUTS would suffice.

What I'm trying to say is if Hatton would've gone in with any of those he'd have gotten his ass kicked.

Also, Gatti wasn't shot when he fought PBF, he was shot last fight, before that, he was still ready for all.

I didn't claim Micky Ward was better than JLC or Kosta. Don't put words into my mouth.

boxing is about who you have fought, but its also about winning and on that basis i think hatton is better than gatti. gatti is lacking a lot defensively and hatton would eat him up. gatti would not be able to take the beating that hatton would give him now. mickyward isn't anyhting world class and still knocked him down a fair few times.

You are one of the worst posters I've ever seen.

The fact that Hatton 'would've been beaten' by all the fighters Gatti WAS beaten by does not make Gatti a better fighter than Hatton.

"I didn't claim Micky Ward was better than JLC or Kosta. Don't put words into my mouth."

                  Did you not?

                    Yes,

De La Hoya already had his post fight losing effort remarks planned two weeks before the bout.

A few times constitutes twice, in three fights.

Boxing is about strength of opposition (not essentially) - you can fight 200 times against bums and win every fight, but if you fight warriors and win, you're the bomb. See: Floyd Mayweather.
