hatton's chin is way too strong for that...

i think both guys will get roughed up and come out looking like they were in an oldschool heavyweight fight...

i know floyd will dance...hatton will get his...and get cuts and floyd has the advantage to win...im not saying he doesnt but im saying if hatton sticks to a gameplan similar to what i have above he has a good chance at winning...

i still think floyd can win it...im just hoping hatton does (im not expecting him to or anything..just hoping he can pull of a huge win)
Another thing, you're based in the US, so you'll probably not have seen as much Hatton over there (I'm cautious not to be patronising)as us here, in much the same way not many folk in the UK (unless you search the fights out) will have seen as much Floyd as you US folk.

Hatton is good, but he ain't the be all and end all, he had some average fights coming up. Something I don't think Floyd did so much.

i seen some hatton...i dont think he's the best...but i think he has a good chance...

personally i'd like to see cotto fight mayweather next (if hatton loses). i like cotto as a fighter and think he'd have a fair chance too...

i still think floyd has a better chance to win...im just pulling for cotto or hatton to give him his first loss...

From 2002 - Kosta fight Hatton was average against not that great opposition. Even against an old Zoo (no I can't spell his name) he was boxing against a shot fighter. Since then Hatton hasn't been too convincing, especially given JLC was past it. I just don't see him as being anything special enough to beat Floyd. Sure, he has a chance, because he's 50% of the fight, but it's not going to happen.

As for Cotto, anything he does is interesting. Pretty much one of the most interesting come exciting fighters in the business today (see also Ricardo Mayorga, Tony Margarito and Daniel Ponce De Leon).

I doubt Hatton's gameplan will change much, he's going to use the same style he's used since the Kostya fight: hold/hug/hit.

Yeah it'd be great if he could use a strong jab against Floyd, but he's got short little arms and I don't see him suddenly developing an effective jab.

I think the key for Ricky to win this fight: defense. He just absolutely has to improve his D for this fight. His offense isn't going to change much.

He's going to try to get inside and crack the body. But he's got to minimize the damage he takes, especially to the head.

He's shown a tendency, even as recently as the Urango fight, to drop his right hand when he throws the left hook to the body. I'd bet on seeing plenty of counter-lefts to the head from Floyd.

I don't believe in any thing being 100% unless it has to deal with taxes and death. However I'm leaning towards Floyd to win but you never know. Its the punch you don't see coming that does the most damage and you can always count on the unexpected. Remember Tysons first loss, everyone believed Iron Mike was unstoppable. The odds on the Buster/Tyson fight were insane, if I had a crystal ball I would have been a millionaire. After that fight I never ever count a fighter out until they are KO'd or the final bell is rung.

That was a perfect flush counter shot by Magee, and its guys that are real strong and bigger than Hatton like Collazo that will give him trouble.

To be honest Mayweather has some respect from me for taking the fight

grabbing you... hit you with your shoulder and then move you with your hands to hit you is not hitting from angles... he's not gonna catch him at all.. floyd's footwork is to much for someone like hatton who just reaches and stuff... i'll all depend on floyd's hunger and that's it
