Cotto agrees to 40-60 split to fight Shane

You ****** *****, Cotto doesnt have one big name on his whole resume and your trying to make it sound like he fights P4P guys every fight. People were just ripping him about his opponents a couple of fights ago. The only halfway big name he has is Zab. Also, dont act like Cotto is doing anything special when he was fighting guys at 140 who he was 10x bigger then and now he's fighting at his natural weight. Floyd is fighting at the same weight class and is really like 2 weight classes smaller then Cotto. Its no comparison at all. I hate it when people say dumb **** like that. Cotto was ****in huge at 140. Everyone knows he shouldve been at WW then. He's still huge at WW now. Floyd is basically a natural 135 pounder. Dont compare the 2. Tell me when Cotto goes up to MW and beats a guy like Pavlik. Dont brag on a guy who's taking a tough fight against a guy in his own natural weight class. Its not the same thing at all. In pretty much all of Cotto's fights he's been the bigger man and most of the time its by alot. He still hasnt even fought a real WW yet while Floyd is always the smaller man and most of the time its by alot. I like to see Cotto get in the ring with a guy with Oscar's skills and is 20 pounds bigger in the ring. Lets see what he would do then.

Dude if I remember correctly, you've been talking about the weight advantage since the Corley fight or so, the man has won maybe 5 fights in a row in a pretty impressive manner, will you keep the same **** up until he retires?

cotto is a class A type of person.

taking a 40/60 split in shanes favor speaks volumes about the type of person he is.

he just wants to fight...anyone and everyone and i applaud him for following through on that...he even is willing to lose money just to make the big fights happen.

with an attitude like this i can see cotto vs. mayweather within a year or year and a half (mattering on which fights happen for cotto and if he wins) then floyd would be very happy to take a 60/40 split in his own favor and cotto wouldnt object beause of the person he is.

this is great...when word gets around about this after the mosely fight (assuming cotto wins) there will be much more fighters for him to face...especially with a great attitude like that.

your the joke buddy along with most of your posts. Its obvious you dont get it. you think im a mayweather hater, not at all. im a very big fan of the talent he displays its just he chooses to display it against guys that he has giant advantages over. I'll give him some props for fighting Hatton tho. but it wont help his boxing legacy. let me restate what i was saying in simple terms so you can understand, Cotto is not as physically gifted or as much of a boxing talent as mayweather but he is willing to fight guys who are capable of giving him the hardest fight of his life, pushing him to his limits and of course giving boxing fans hopefully a very entertaining war. cotto aint no super star but he's on his way so just sit back and enjoy it u little *****!

I believe the actual number is 43/57 split with Mosley taking the bigger portion. Think I read that in PR newspaper. Can anyone confirm this?

I'm suprised people aren't really talkin about how this fight could be FOTY. Mosley always fights the same way just throwing and not really blocking and cotto always comes forward. This should be a really good fight unless mosley gets old overnight and gets KTFO

yeah this is going to be an absolute classic if cotto can take mosley blinding power, i can't wait... I don't know if i should praise cotto or condemn him... I feel he should have forced 50/50 as he does deserve, As a fan i'm estatic. WWs will carry boxing at least til 09
