That’s just plain ******ed G. I know you might not like Cotto but give props where props are due. - Avid boxing fan from Savannah, Ga. Jose Raul

Leon's Response: Jose Raul you are mistaken. Prior to his fight with Judah Cotto was ranked somewhere in the teens. After he stopped Zab he was elevated to the top 10. With Vazquez stopping Marquez, another top ten pound for pounder, Cotto drops one spot. If Cotto defeats Mosley impressivley or even cleanly he'd be in the top seven. If Mosley beats Cotto impressively or cleanly, he returns to the bottom half of the top ten as well. There's no question Cotto deserves props. I don't know too many undefeated Puerto Rican world champions who would agree to 40-60 to fight Shane Mosley at Madison Square Garden.

That says a lot about the kind of fighter that Cotto is...
yea I must say that shows alot of class.

He's going to get a lolt of money. ****, even if he loses but just looks impressive, he will get more money down the road. He's the definition of a true champion. Gotta take a step back to take two forward sometimes. Smart guy.

You ****** *****, Cotto doesnt have one big name on his whole resume and your trying to make it sound like he fights P4P guys every fight. People were just ripping him about his opponents a couple of fights ago. The only halfway big name he has is Zab. Also, dont act like Cotto is doing anything special when he was fighting guys at 140 who he was 10x bigger then and now he's fighting at his natural weight. Floyd is fighting at the same weight class and is really like 2 weight classes smaller then Cotto. Its no comparison at all. I hate it when people say dumb **** like that. Cotto was ****in huge at 140. Everyone knows he shouldve been at WW then. He's still huge at WW now. Floyd is basically a natural 135 pounder. Dont compare the 2. Tell me when Cotto goes up to MW and beats a guy like Pavlik. Dont brag on a guy who's taking a tough fight against a guy in his own natural weight class. Its not the same thing at all. In pretty much all of Cotto's fights he's been the bigger man and most of the time its by alot. He still hasnt even fought a real WW yet while Floyd is always the smaller man and most of the time its by alot. I like to see Cotto get in the ring with a guy with Oscar's skills and is 20 pounds bigger in the ring. Lets see what he would do then.

Cotto's biggest win by far was his fight against Zab and your trying to make it sound like he has beat these great fighters. When Floyd beats Zab then he gets ripped because he's supposed to but Cotto beats Zab who he's clearly much bigger then, Zab hadnt won a fight in 2 years, was coming off a year long suspension, basically in a all Cotto crowd, and yet that turns Cotto into a Super Star? Its a joke

I thought a 50/50 split would be fair since Cotto is the champion and sold out MSG in his last fight. Mosley didn't exactly put bums on seats with his last fight. His last two PPV sold well, but you have to give Vargas a lot credit for that, he has a very loyal following. I think his last PPV before that was with DLH not counting the undercard to Barerra Peden. At the end of the day their fighting each other, great fights are being made, we should be happy.

Its true, Mosley is a bigger name, and he brings in more PPV numbers, but Cotto is probably one of three fighters that can sell out MSG. That has to count for something.

I'm suprised people aren't really talkin about how this fight could be FOTY. Mosley always fights the same way just throwing and not really blocking and cotto always comes forward. This should be a really good fight unless mosley gets old overnight and gets KTFO
