your right. i dont think there are any american warriors at all. maybe lacy. the guy who said malinagii is a warrior is an idiot. that guy is afraid to go toe to toe but at least he didnt quit against cotto. he has heart. im talking about guys who will go toe to toe and back down from no one.

Holyfield is most definitely a warrior. Pavlik looks like he has the makings of being a warrior. Juan Diaz doesn't go backwards a lot - its just that the dominant style in the US is stick and move and variants.

I'll give Taylor credit for his performances against Hopkins and Wright. since then however he seems to rather fight lesser opponets, and smaller guys moving up in weight. He had the opportunity to knockout both Ouma and Spinks, especially Spinks. Yet he couldn't find the heart to throw an average of more than 9 punches per round.

Win, lose, or draw. Kelly Pavlik is going to make Jermain Taylor reach inside of his gut to find out what's really there. Then I'll know fo rsure if he's a warrior or not.

And I'm sorry but no current American fighter has earned the right to be called a warrior. Not in the way that a Marco Antonio Barrera, or Erik Morales has anyway.

Lacy is a warrior because he could've easily quit on his stool anytime he wanted to but didn't. He took the beating as long as he had to, like a real man.

It's just too bad he'll probably never be the same because of it.
Holyfield is definitely a warrior and showed it againts Bowe with heart problems he wouldnt quit and don't think its in his vocabulary so is the word fear. When did Mosely ever show otherwise.

Hah seriously. I believe Gatti is a Canuck who was born in Italy as well.

I'd say that James Toney, Jeff Lacy, Mickey Ward, Diego Corrales(rip), Lamon Brewster, Vinny Maddalone, Leavander Johnson(rip) fit the bill.

I was dissappointed with him againts Spinks but Corey will make anyone look bad. Againts Ouma, the dude just woulnt go down. I think Taylor is one of em that still needs to proove himself but I see it in him.
