he was never offered the fight.they asked bob arum if he would put cotto to fight floyd.it was just a question it was not a offer.and that was when floyd fought brusseles

What is "an offer"? A signed contract? All terms specified?

When you turn down the opportunity to EVEN NEGOTIATE, you have essentially turned down an offer. That is the modern boxing lexicon.

dominicano is just mad that cotto is the man in the boxing game right now next to floyd thats why people hate them so much people say floyd runs and that miguel has a weak chin but yet floyd and cotto dominate all there opponents

Again, Team Cotto and Arum did not want to put Miguel in with Floyd. They wanted a few more fights to a) build up Miguel's name and b) get Miguel some more experience.

But what you CAN'T do is turn down a fight, and then when YOU feel you are ready, you expect the other guy to jump. That is the same thing Shane did. SSM turned down a fight on national TV ("my vacation..."my tooth"). And then when PBF becomes this huge name (thanks to Oscar) he comes knocking talking about "Mayweather grew feathers".

With the exception of Oscar, all the money is going through Floyd. That is why you suddenly hear all these guys calling him out. The way Floyd/Forrest/Winky/Bernard/ etc all used to call out Oscar.

When Mayweather was Arum's biggest fighter he said he wouldn't put Cotto nowhere near PBF. PBF talks a lotta crap on interviews and that's not Cotto's style although he mentioned recently how PBF has made a career outta track meetings. No fight has been negotiated or formally offered.
