  • Quit Hating on Chavez Jr.

    He's 21 years old.

The same people who are whining about him fighting "Tomato Cans" and praising Malignaggi in comparison to him, Just remember.

Malignaggi wasn't even a professional when he was 21 years old. Nobody is hyping Chavez and nobody has. People are just interested in seeing his career develop, because he has some good tools to work with. All I read is a bunch of people discussing how "he's going to get exposed". Who is he supposed to be at 21? Fernando Vargas? The most precocious fighter maybe of all time who stepped it up in competition at an early age and essentially ruined his career?

    QuicherBitchin.

run i have to say your one of the few people on here who knows something about boxing. there is to much hating on mexican fighters. it dont make sense to hate on the son of a mexican legend because he is only 21 years old. people are talking now like malignagi has been beating great fighters for years and is p4p. he is only a step ahead of chavez.

people dont see that chavez right now is making up for not having amateur experience. plus he is an action fighter who likes to punish the body. there are very few fighters who can do this well because mastering body shots is the hardest thing to do in all of boxing. let chavez get older and some more experience and he will be a future world champion.

          This is my point.

Because There are too many people claiming he's "fighting nothing but bums". For Christ sake..........what is he supposed to do right now? Call out Oscar?

He's a growing 21 year old BOY. He's making up for the fact he lacked an amateur career by extending fights.

If anyone hasn't noticed......he likes to take it easy on his opponents for a while just so he can take a bit of punishment and get accustomed to fighting......before he opens up and finishes them. He's not ******, his camp isn't ******, and there's no god damn way his Dad is ******.

I have zero doubt that some day he'll be a Champion.

So true, Vargas could've done so much better if he would've taken it easy.

And the pinoys should stfu about him too cause Bautista is also like 21 and his ass is gonna get his ass whooped on Saturday, and whats the excuse gonna be? That he was TOO GREEN... lol

yea he is 21 but he is still a professional. he has been a pro for a couple of years now. it doesnt matter if paulie turned pro at 21. he had a decent amatuer career. he only has 24 fights under his belt. and has a fought good opposition. i think paulie would school him. chavez jr aint ready for paulie just yet. if he takes that fight he will get embarrassed

Good opposition? You mean 1 guy right? Cotto? Where he was beaten to the point where he couldn't even be recognized?
